We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Pablo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, how does your business help the community?
At WORKHERO, our mission goes beyond traditional HR consulting—we aim to create a lasting, positive impact on both the community and the world by transforming workplace cultures from within. We recognize that healthy organizations don’t just benefit the company; they contribute to the well-being of individuals, families, and entire communities. When employees feel valued, supported, and empowered at work, their mental health, personal fulfillment, and productivity improve, which can have a ripple effect throughout society.

By focusing on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility (DEIB), we help foster environments where everyone, regardless of their background, can thrive. This work is especially important for underrepresented groups, such as Black women and other minorities, who have historically been marginalized in corporate spaces. Through our DEIB Action Series, we help companies not only diversify their workforce but also create inclusive spaces where everyone’s voice is heard. This leads to more equitable outcomes within the company and contributes to broader social equity.

Moreover, we specialize in addressing critical issues like mental health and workplace violence—problems that impact not just individuals but also their families and communities. By offering Professional Health and Wellness programs and Workplace Violence Assessments, we equip organizations with the tools to support their employees’ mental health, creating safer, more supportive environments where people can thrive both professionally and personally.

Our work in organizational redesign also extends beyond just improving business metrics. By “renovating” companies to be more efficient, inclusive, and responsive to employee needs, we enhance overall well-being, reduce workplace stress, and foster greater job satisfaction. This contributes to lower turnover rates and higher job retention, which can stabilize local economies by keeping people employed and engaged.
Ultimately, at WORKHERO, we believe that healthy, inclusive workplaces are essential for building stronger communities and a more equitable world. Our work directly supports this vision by empowering both organizations and their people to succeed and grow, fostering positive social change from within.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At WORKHERO, our focus is on creating healthier, more productive workplaces by addressing key challenges that often go unnoticed but significantly impact employee well-being and organizational success. We specialize in tackling three core issues—mental health, organizational redesign, and workplace violence. Our goal is to bridge the gap between HR and employees, ensuring that every person within an organization, regardless of role or position, has the support they need to thrive professionally.

What makes WORKHERO unique is our proactive approach. Rather than just responding to issues as they arise, we work closely with companies to conduct in-depth assessments and identify potential problem areas—what we call workplace “trenches.” By understanding the specific challenges an organization faces, we can create customized solutions through our Organizational Redesign program. This program is designed to “renovate” companies from the inside out, enhancing operational efficiency while boosting employee morale and engagement.

Another factor that sets us apart is our commitment to providing ongoing support. We believe that true organizational change takes time and consistent effort, which is why we offer services that extend beyond one-time consultations. Our offerings, which include Professional Health and Wellness programs, the DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) Action Series, Workplace Violence Assessments, and Individual and Confidential Workplace Counseling, are all designed to create lasting improvements.

We are particularly proud of the impact we’re making in fostering inclusive and equitable workplaces. Our work involving DEIB is a cornerstone of our approach, helping organizations build environments where everyone feels valued and included. This not only enhances employee retention but also contributes to the long-term success of the business by fostering a more engaged, loyal workforce.

Ultimately, what drives us at WORKHERO is the belief that better workplaces lead to better lives. Our mission is to partner with organizations in developing strategies that address real issues, support employees holistically, and create sustainable, positive change. We are passionate about transforming the way companies approach HR, one customized solution at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting LA for a week, I’d kick things off by taking them to La Valentina Mexican Grill in South Central for some of the best Mexican food around, followed by drinks at Rock and Reilly’s near USC. We’d spend an afternoon exploring The Broad Museum, grab lunch at Grand Central Market, and for dinner, hit one of my favorite rooftop spots—either Perch or Takami for great food and stunning views. Another day would include drinks at The Highlight Room before heading to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert, followed by a late-night snack at Rancho Bar in Altadena. We’d also make sure to visit Redondo Beach for some sun and enjoy lunch at The Lighthouse with live music. We’d wrap things up with a rooftop dinner at Takami in Downtown LA to take in the skyline. A brunch at Joey DTLA and dinner at LA Live’s Fixins would also make the itinerary complete.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to give a huge shoutout to my business partners, Trisha and January. Trisha was the visionary who sparked the idea for WORKHERO. From that very first conversation, I knew we had something special. Her passion for improving workplace environments and her drive to create meaningful change ignited a fire in me. Then there’s January, who brought her brilliance in branding and DEIB to the table. She helped solidify our identity as a company that prioritizes inclusivity and the well-being of employees. Without these two incredible women, WORKHERO wouldn’t be what it is today – together, we complement each other’s strengths and have built something I’m incredibly proud of.

I also want to recognize my husband, Krishnan Pablo. His advice and experience in entrepreneurship through his own business, Premier Educational Staffing, has been invaluable as we navigated the early stages of WORKHERO. When Trisha initially approached him for business advice, he quickly connected her vision with my HR background, which laid the foundation for our partnership. His unwavering support has been a key factor in our success.

On a broader scale, my experiences at the University of Southern California (USC) have been instrumental in shaping both my career and personal development. From my time as a student worker to becoming a full-time employee at USC, those years gave me invaluable insights into workplace culture and the challenges employees face. Being part of that community shaped my view on workplace culture and fueled my passion for creating supportive and empowering environments. It was through USC that my passion for HR and improving workplace experiences truly took root.

Lastly, I’d like to shout out the countless mentors, colleagues, and friends who’ve offered advice, encouragement, and even constructive criticism along the way. The journey to building WORKHERO has truly been a collective effort, and I’m grateful for every person who has played a role in it. Seeing firsthand the challenges they faced—especially regarding underrepresentation and inequities in the workplace—deepened my commitment to creating solutions that could make a real difference. All of these people and experiences have contributed to where I am today, and I’m grateful for their role in bringing the WORKHERO vision to life.
