Meet Jason Campollo | Creative and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Campollo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I feel as though, by nature, I am a risk taker. I’ve thought of taking risks as the physical action, the verb, to your dreams. I think all the greatest entrepreneurs and geniuses throughout time took risks. If it wasn’t for their courage, we wouldn’t have what we do today.
Taking risks has led me to success and failure. Taking risks has led me to a wealth of knowledge and experience that I now carry with me everywhere I go!
It has given me the opportunity to see deep inside of myself and see how strong I really am forged. Throughout the extreme lows that have come with takings risks and the mountain top successes. Taking risks led me to moments like those and has shown me my character in those moments. I’m grateful. I’m blessed.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a multifaceted creative.
I’ve dug my hands into so many mediums yet feel like I haven’t dabbled enough!
The main ones are Audio Engineering, Music, Photography, Videography, and Fashion.
I don’t find myself trying to set myself apart from anyone else but be one with all my creatives!
Why not blend arts and creative processes to create something amazingly unique?
I am very proud of where I am professionally. I could’ve never imagined I would be able to exchange my creative efforts for money and that’s freaking awesome!
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. It took breaking out of my comfort zone to grow my skills. Skills with my art and also my social and communication skills! To do any form of art professionally, you NEED to be able to network. You NEED to know how to take those wonderful creative thoughts in your head, and convert them into an eloquent explanation that people can understand.
That’s what I’ve learn at least.
My brand is ME. I currently am working on creating many different brands, but you’ll see they still reflect me and above all else reflect Jesus Christ.
So be on the lookout for subsidiaries of Jason Campollo!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Problem with this is all my best friends live in Los Angeles!! Hahahaha
My favorite spots to check out are Griffith observatory (lalaland fanatic)
Favorite spot to eat is Angels Tijuanas Tacos! Shout out to them. They’re amazing.
Most people I’ve shown around love Little Tokyo and Koreatown!
Northern Malibu beaches are the places to hit up too!
I gotta say I also love the chaotic nature of the Santa Monica pier! So many different characters all in one place how could it not inspire me!?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate all my success to the one who has molded me even before I was in my mother’s womb. Jesus Christ.
My faith has been the biggest and most important contributor to my character and who I’ve become today. Through my faith and Christian community, I have been able to flourish as a creative and entrepreneur and above all else, someone who just loves people.
My faith has shown me I was created in the image of the FIRST creative to ever exist, God.
I want to thank all of my family, friends, and strangers who have pushed me to grow and chase after things I never thought imaginable.
I want to thank my partner Lydia as well. She supports me in so many ways. Even down to the smallest mundane things. It’s truly a blessing.
