Meet Jason Rosove | Creative Director and Content Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Rosove and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what principle do you value most?
In launching our music brand alongside my closest friends, Rachel Silva and Kavon Ahzir, our primary focus has always been on fostering genuine connections and teaming up with individuals who embody kindness and a sense of togetherness. Many of the people we collaborate with aren’t just business contacts; they’re our talented friends and we share a genuine bond beyond the professional world. This atmosphere infuses our brand, Friends & Disco, creating an environment at our events and in our online presence that feels like one big friendly hangout. Ultimately, our brand feels more like a family, offering each other support and sticking together in an industry that can be quite tough. Staying true to these values helps us navigate the ups and downs of the music scene with a whole lot of heart because we know we have the right people by our side.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me and my team apart is the organic growth that has gone into this venture. We’ve taken our time, nurturing our vision since 2019, and we’re just scratching the surface. We believe in working hard but also in allowing opportunities to come to us. It’s about seizing the right chances, and that’s why we’ve seen such success in the last year. We’re selective in what we say yes to, and that’s our distinguishing factor.
We’ve learned some tough lessons, but we see each challenge as a learning experience. Keeping my head held high and ready to tackle the next opportunity, I firmly believe that by pushing ourselves and setting new goals for improvement, success is inevitable for me and my team.
I want people to understand that our brand is more than just events; it’s a unique blend of artistry, passion, and unwavering dedication. When you attend our shows, we strive to create moments that will be etched in your memory forever. If our events aren’t what you’re looking for, you’re still welcome in our community. We embrace everyone as part of Friends & Disco.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am currently living in Santa Monica and have been here for a while now. If I were to show someone around the area, I would take them to Montana Street, where we can find boutique shops and enjoy some good food. I would take them to Abbot Kinney, where there are more shops and places to grab drinks. Additionally, since I love film, I would take them to the Aero Theatre for a cool showing. To end off, I would show them a couple of local beach spots for sunset.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this to a lot of people, but that goes without saying. My mom and sisters, who have always been there for me, and my dad, who is not with us physically but will always be in my heart. It’s from him that I inherited my deep love for music. I also have many wonderful friends who push me every day and give me the courage to pursue an industry that I’ve always romanticized being a part of.
