Meet Jay Espino

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Espino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jay, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Gosh, the most important lesson I’ve learned chasing my dream is to stay consistent and keep your head up. There will always be people trying to put you down like I had to deal with for years but staying consistent and practicing everyday is what got me here today. You will lose a lot of people in your life on the way to the top but it’s just life removing all the dead weight that’s keeping you too grounded. Always remember, a friend to all is a friend to none.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Everything I write is all personal true experiences I’ve been through in life, relationships and heartbreaks. I started singing at the age of 21, I practiced singing every single day since, I was not really that good starting off but now practice and persistence really improved my vocals, vocal riffs and falsettos. Honestly it was not easy at all especially taking a lot of criticism through the years and not really having many people support me but the small amount of people who supported me is what got me through the hardships in this industry. I just want people to know my story, feel the rhythm in my instrumentals and feel emotions through my singing. I just have a story to tell that I want people to know. We’re hope for my Final Cut to drop in ‘25 for my album!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city is somewhere in Malibu it’s a secret little spot I love going to at night to just think and get some peace and quiet. I actually wrote a song about it on my upcoming album the song is called “summer nights on Malibu coast”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely first and foremost, I want to thank My lord and savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with these amazing musical talents, I want to thank my mom for getting me into music as a teen I’ve learned so much starting at a young age and of course I have to thank my team without them I would not be here right now, all the shows, meetings with record labels and everything in between is because of them. Truly I’m just the guy who writes songs and sings them I’m the face of the business.
