Meet Jay Jay Revlon | DJ, HOST, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, CHOREOGRAPHER & BALLROOM PIONEER.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Jay Revlon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jay Jay, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be nothing but real and honest I want to DJ Dance and more fully as me one life to live and everything I just want my legacy to be true

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is deeply rooted in storytelling, community, and the power of self-expression. As a DJ, voguer, and event curator, I bring a unique perspective to every space I enter, blending music, movement, and culture to create experiences that resonate with authenticity and joy. What sets me apart is my commitment to uplifting QPOC and LGBTQ+ voices while celebrating the beauty and resilience of Ballroom culture.
I’m most proud of the safe spaces I’ve built for people to be their authentic selves. Seeing the positive impact these spaces have on individuals and the community keeps me motivated. Collaborating with global artists, institutions, and brands like Honey Dijon, Tate Britain, Netflix, and Marc Jacobs are highlights of my career, but it’s the moments of connection and empowerment within my community that mean the most.
Getting to where I am today has been anything but easy. Breaking into creative industries as a Black queer artist from South London meant navigating systemic barriers and often being underestimated. There were times when I felt unseen, but I turned those challenges into opportunities by staying grounded in my purpose and pushing forward with determination. Along the way, I’ve learned the importance of self-belief, adaptability, and never losing sight of the communities I represent.
My journey has shown me that growth comes through embracing both the highs and lows. Those challenges shaped me into someone who values authenticity and innovation, and my story is one of perseverance and celebration. I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just music or performance—it’s about creating legacies of inclusion, representation, and joy. My work is a testament to what can be achieved when creativity meets community, and I’m excited to keep building on this foundation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
