We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Musgray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business came while at the track/gym. I’ve made several videos on social media and in the beginning I always greeted everybody wherever I was at by saying “We Here”. I always received great feedback on my videos but on numerous occasions, people replied back saying “We Here”. That slogan/name lingered for a while and we took the name/business from there.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My name is Jason Musgray from Tallahassee, Florida and I am the owner of WeHereX. WeHereX is a company based out of Los Angeles, California where we believe in Existence! Blessed, Grateful, Thankful to be here so “We Here”. All hats are handmade with a streetwear urban look! Put Your stamp on this thing called Life and Mark it! That’s why the X represents Ten and the feet represents staying humble and grounded in everything you do. Ten Toes Down! Whatever you’re feeling or going through that day, make sure to wear our brand and you can accomplish anything in life. Built for the confident. WeHereX is Existence! Self explanatory! We different! WeHere!!!! In addition, our vision is to provide insight and awareness to individuals that our brand gives you a daily reminder to exist to live and to conquer! Running a business in my opinion can be hard at times but no matter what you’re going through, there always a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things. Being from Florida has taught me to be thankful for what you have, you’ll eventually will have more. Concentrating on what you don’t have, you will never have enough.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In the Los Angeles area, there is definitely a lot to do. But first for breakfast my favorite place to eat will be Pann’s Restaurant. After that I’ll head to Hollywood boulevard to view the stars on the street. I believe in a healthy lifestyle so taking a hike to the Hollywood sign is a must. You would definitely worked just enough of an appetite for Hot Wing’s Cafe. Last but not least, got to head over to Dulan’s Soul Food Restaurant.

Favorite places: Culver City Stairs (working out), Bike riding to Venice Beach, catch a Laker/Clipper game and catch a vibe at a lounge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank all my family/friends that has been there for me since the beginning. To my good friend Jasen Smith from Champagne Champz from one entrepreneur to another, appreciate you my brother for all the insight/advice from starting a business to running a business. To my wife Adrianna, I feel so lucky to have your support in my life, and I want you to know how much it means to me. Your unwavering belief in me has given me the courage and strength to pursue my dreams, and I am forever grateful for that. Thank you for being such an amazing wife and supporter.
