We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazzmine Small and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazzmine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Where I come from you didn’t see many of the woman chasing what they wanted, just seems they were stuck doing what they ended up doing. You didn’t have the many influences. Growing up I just knew I wanted to put my talents to work and go for my goals. Which has lead me where I am and on the upcoming projects I’ll be announcing .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work in a local high school in Los Angeles County district. I run the cosmetology & modeling program. The school is beautiful and the care for our staff is great. Overall I love the responsibility that comes with watching over the children helping them beginning there journey on navigating into modeling and womanhood overall. Growing up in Los Angeles you have to be multitalented to succeed at your goals. Every year I have put a goal on my dream board for goals I want to achieve and accomplish.

I’ve learned : Everything comes in time, Dont rush. Always put your best foot forward literally lol , and overall enjoy yourself -bring your best you- bring your personality . Be Motivated!!

My brand started from fear of failure not wanting to fail , fear of the unknown, never let anything make you think or feel like you can’t do anything .

My brand is a mix of me overall if you take from every aspect you’ll see all of me without just looking at me . From my art , my clothing designs coming soon, to my music, and of course my modeling and so much more…You’ll see the goofy side the sexy artsy creative educated the emotional side the strength the i really just don’t know moments you’ll see R-E-A-L-i-t-y.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m really a home-body type of girl but when me and my sister go out we like to try new places and be foodies honestly . I love tempo cantina , ceviche spot , Barton gs. When I do go out I like to go: Go karting, Rage rooms, paint and sips for my 21& + crowd lol , anywhere that is relaxing and I can just let loose I’m there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I haven’t ever had a mentor or help honestly I’ve had to figure very thing out alone BUT I do wanna shout-out EVERYONE that’s supported me and continues to support me I love you guys and I appreciate every comment , like, view .
