Meet Jemma Wiltshire | Owner & Lead Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jemma Wiltshire and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jemma, what do you attribute your success to?
My success is built on the careful curation of my personal brand, a distinct identity that separates me from traditional corporate agencies. Building this one-of-a-kind brand has proven to be a game changer, as evidenced by the numerous clients who praise both my creative output and the personalised touch I bring to every project.
Having worked as an account manager and designer in traditional agencies, I’ve seen firsthand the neglect that clients can face in such environments. This observation fueled my determination to provide unrivalled attention and care to my clients, thereby filling a critical industry gap. The overwhelming positive feedback from clients attests to the success of this approach, reaffirming my commitment to organically growing my business through referrals and repeat business.
My emphasis on nurturing genuine client relationships has become a key driver of my professional journey. This dedication not only improves the quality of my work but also ensures that each client receives the level of dedication they deserve, contributing to the long-term growth of my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
The biggest challenge I have faced has been maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a dedicated business owner, my desire to ensure the success of my clients frequently drives me to go above and beyond which can result in working extra hours.
The upside of devoting extra time to projects allows me to ensure each client is completely satisfied with the results.
Now to address this issue I strictly work standard business hours only. By having a structured and strategic approach this has made it much easier to balance my professional and personal lives. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that most business owners understand that great design does take time and they have been happy with the project timelines.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Sunshine Coast is absolutely one of the most beautiful places to visit. As we have fantastic weather, mountains, waterfalls, and many beaches to pack for a lot of outdoor adventure.
The first place on the list would be a local favourite down at Point Cartwright followed by the two most iconic spots, Noosa and Mooloolaba. These spots all have stunning but unique swimming spots and views. There is also plenty of grassed area for a picnic or fish and chips.
It wouldn’t be a Sunshine Coast trip without climbing Mount Coolum. Once you reach the top of the mountain the views along the coast line a breathtaking. To top it off you can cool down after with a swim just a few minutes drive.
The hinterland hikes and waterfalls are also worth checking out. Kondalilla falls is one of the best and has become very popular. The forest is stunning with lots of giant trees and plenty of wildlife.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
By the Bay Cosmetics deserves a heartfelt thank you for reigniting my passion and sparking a renewed dedication to my business. Designing the stunning branding for this business was more than just a project; it was a journey of rediscovering design. Seeing their vision become a vibrant reality rekindled my passion for assisting entrepreneurs through impactful design. Because of this inspiring collaboration, I’ve been inspired to invest wholeheartedly in and propel my own business forward.
