Hi Jenn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The values that matter most to me are kindness and gratitude—both of which I strive to reflect in Hello Foodie Jenn. Hello Kitty embodies warmth, friendship, and spreading positivity, and I aim to bring that same spirit to my content. Food is more than just something we eat—it’s a way to connect, share, and create memories with others.

At the heart of my foodie journey is gratitude. I believe in appreciating every meal, every experience, and every opportunity to engage with the food community. Whether it’s a cozy home-cooked meal or an extravagant dining experience, there’s always something to be thankful for. Through Hello Foodie Jenn, I hope to inspire others to embrace kindness, express gratitude, and find joy in all the delicious moments life has to offer.

Hello Foodie Jenn is all about celebrating joy through food, local experiences, and all things kawaii—always with a touch of Hello Kitty magic! I’ve loved Hello Kitty since I was a child, and that love has never faded. There’s something so special about the way Hello Kitty represents happiness, friendship, and nostalgia, and I want to share that same sense of joy with others at any age. What sets my brand apart is the way I blend food exploration with local events and kawaii culture, showing that life isn’t just about what we eat, but also about the experiences that bring us happiness and connection.

My journey to where I am today wasn’t always easy. Building a brand takes time, dedication, and the courage to put yourself out there. Navigating through an ever-growing social media space came with its challenges, from keeping up with trends to finding ways to stand out. But I’ve learned that consistency, authenticity, and staying true to my passion make all the difference. One of the biggest lessons I’ve taken away is to embrace the journey—every meal, every event, and every experience adds to the story.

I want the world to know that Hello Foodie Jenn is about more than just food. It’s about celebrating the little joys in life, exploring local gems, and keeping the magic of childhood alive through fun, kawaii moments. Whether it’s traveling the world in search of the best eats, attending a Hello Kitty pop-up, or discovering hidden local treasures, I hope to inspire others to find joy in every adventure and embrace their inner foodie with a playful and pure heart.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d start the day at Offset Coffee in the South Bay for their delicious hazelnut latte. For lunch, we’d enjoy dim sum at Lunasia, known for its generous portions and expertly crafted dumplings. If we’re craving Filipino food, we’d head to LA to dine at Kuya Lord or Spoon & Pork, both recognized for their authentic and creative takes on Filipino cuisine.

No trip would be complete without some Sanrio fun! We’d shop at the Sanrio Japanese Village in Little Tokyo, then make our way to Irvine for tea time or happy hour at the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia and cuteness.

For dinner, I’d take them to The Arthur J in Manhattan Beach for an amazing steakhouse experience, followed by dessert at Azucanela Churros for freshly made churros and dipping sauces. It’s a day filled with great food, a touch of kawaii joy, and plenty of memorable moments!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my parents. My dad played a huge part in shaping my connection to both food and Hello Kitty. I’ll always cherish the memories of him taking me to the Sanrio store between his cooking sessions, where we shared fun moments that blended our love for food and Hello Kitty. I also want to give a special shoutout to my mom, my ultimate food adventure partner, who has traveled around the world with me, including to Tokyo, where we got to visit different Hello Kitty spots. Their support, encouragement, and the bond we share through food and happy moments have been a big influence on my Hello Foodie Jenn blog.
