We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Gable and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
That’s a great question! I chose this profession because it was the most fun for me. It didn’t feel like work. It still never feels like work. Acting, writing, producing, directing and performing Stand-Up Comedy is always so much fun! I love to feel free and express myself. I grew up performing and my mother allowed me to be very creative as a child so I think that’s why I continued as an adult. Most people thought I was crazy and still do by some of the choices I’ve made but I just follow my own passion and live my life the way I want. And the longer I stay in it, the more I achieve. The industry is always changing, but I stay in it and true to myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Stand-Up Comedian going into my 11th year. I’ve toured all over. And opened for Bonnie MacFarlane in Connecticut. I’ve performed numerous times at Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, Westside Comedy Club,The Ice House and the new Crow Comedy Club. I shot a local Live TV taping, ComedyTime at Ice House. I write all types of jokes about all topics. I have joke stories, 1 liners like Mitch Hedberg and I do more crowd work lately since audiences like that now online. I have a Special streaming, ‘6 Drink Minimum’ on YouTube. I also Act and created a Web-Series ‘Pennies For Your Thoughts’ also on YouTube. I am just myself on stage and the audience always responds well to that. It’s very competitive, so it’s not always easy. I maintain a healthy lifestyle overall and stay away from negative people. I don’t let anyone ultimately effect me negatively or ever give up. You have to have a strong sense of self I think to endure being a Comedian. I enjoy writing a lot daily. I am very active on social media. And I have gained a lot of fans that way. I market and promote myself a lot online. I put myself out there have been able to perform a private events and parties and get paid well to perform Stand-Up. And constantly post video clips of my Stand-Up online. My brand is funny. I can be both edgy and clean. I make fun of both sides politically. I joke about all topics that many people can relate to. Overall, I’ve always received great responses from all audiences. I look forward to shooting another Special soon and continue working more as a Headliner Comedian and touring more again. I have a late night TV set I keep revamping. And I’d love to get a Special on a network like Netflix or HBO soon!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say my favorite Comedy Clubs to perform at are the Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory and the new Crow Comedy Club in Santa Monica. As far as other places, The Magic Castle is another great Entertainment venue. And West Hollywood for the dance club parties nightlife fun vibes!
