We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeraldi Lomeli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeraldi, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I think the most important thing that I have done to impact my children is to show them that you can do anything in life as long as you put your mind to it. This business that I started from the bottom will show my children that you should always follow your dreams and do what makes you happy in life, to never give up no matter how hard and bumpy things may get. I want them to always chase their dreams and believe in themselves the way that I have.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dose of Jera is a Latina-owned women’s clothing boutique. What sets my brand apart from others is that I always try to go above and beyond for my costumers. My customers know that they can always message me with any questions regarding any items and I will always respond to them as fast as I can. I try to keep my customers satisfied with the best customer service that I can provide to them.

I am most proud of how much I have grown as a person and as a business owner. I have reached almost 4,000 followers on Instagram and 19,000 followers on Tiktok. Everyday, I see how much I have accomplished with the little knowledge I had about running a business and I am extremely proud of myself.

The lessons I have learned along the way is that not everyday is going to be a good day! Running a business is definitely not easy and it comes with a lot overthinking and strategic decision. I have learned to manage those feelings now! I learned that its ok to have a “bad sale day” and it is okay if the outcome you were expecting does not come to light. The most important thing that I learned is to not give up and never down talk yourself if something doesn’t go as planned.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was in town for trip I would start off by taking her to Hollywood! I would pick a day to stroll around the Hollywood strip. We would also ride on the tour bus to see landmarks and many celebrities homes. After the tour bus, we would then shop around and grab something to eat around the area. The next following days I would love for her to visit Universal Studios, who doesn’t love a little bit of fun! We’d get on all the rides and eat all the food around the theme park. Then, I would take her out to some of my favorite outdoor adventures and restaurants in LA. Starting off with one of my favorite brunch places called HOME or Urth Caffe. We’d go hiking to the Malibu trail and see the most beautiful view of the ocean and head down to HOME to have the yummiest sopes. She would not leave town without trying Urth Caffe by far the best Green Tea Matcha with boba. For dinner, I would love for her try the most beautiful restaurant named KA’TEEN, a restaurant that takes on an ancient cuisine of Yucatan Peninsula. We would enjoy the yummy food there with an amazing Tulum like aesthetic. The environment is incredible!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my family and friends because they are the people who have supported me from the start. My friends have always encouraged me to never give up and keep pushing forward. I know that I can always count on them to hear me out whenever I am feeling unmotivated, so for that I dedicate this shoutout to them!

Now, most importantly I want to give an extra shoutout to my Fiance! He has been my number one supporter from the start. The person who has never gave up on me! My Fiance is the reason why I had the opportunity to focus on nothing but, growing my business and for that I am grateful!
