Meet Jerrell Jones | Film Multi-Media Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jerrell Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jerrell, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, I knew one day I wanted to achieve becoming my own Boss. What solidified it for me was my last major Job I had as a Manager for Hertz Car Rental Company. I accumulated a lot of Sick leave hours from my job in order to take my Wife to Paris for her birthday. I put in a notice 3 Months in advance to make sure I had at least 2 weeks of off time to spend with her. The week of my time scheduled to leave, my General Manager told me I could not go on my Trip. What stuck out to me the most in that moment was not the fact that I couldn’t go, but they fact someone told me I couldn’t spend time with my Wife. That alone did something to my core, and I realized I never wanted someone to tell me I couldn’t do something with my Wife again. From there it was already decided in my head that I have to build the life I truly want & leave that place for good. I’m glad I believed in myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My business is called “LA3 Cinematic”. I am a Film Multi-Media Producer that lives in Los Angeles, California. What makes me my business so amazing and stand out is the range of help I’m able to offer in what I do. I help starting businesses and flourishing businesses have a way to make their brands seen with amazing quality all over the world. I create great work from as low as simple smart phone needs up to full on productions with 8k cinema cameras. The reason why thats so extremely important is because most starting businesses may not have the information nor high budget to create great quality film for their products, places or themselves. And for businesses that can afford a greater look with a higher budget, you not only get outstanding work from me but even greater service from me and my team.
Building up to where I am today was not easy at all, but growing is never easy is it? That’s why the rewards are greater. A seed may seem like it’s in a dark place, until it continues to move through the roughness and hard times. Once it breaches the surface of land and air it can clear see that I wasn’t in a dark place, I was just buried. What’s even better is that not that it’s above surface, the sky’s the limit and it has so much more room to grow as big as it can be.
My proudest moments have been being able to work with amazing people like Floyd Mayweather, Forbes list entrepreneur Abigail Aboitiz, WestSide very own Krupt from DPG and Arthur Goodman aka GoMack one of the starting founding members of NWA. I have many more but these mean the most to me.
What I’ve learned the most about this journey is, there is no limit to what one can do. Literally anything you want to accomplish or achieve, you have all the necessary capabilities to do so within you. The only question there is at that point is do you believe so for yourself? As long as you know you can, the only thing that stands in your way is Time and Hard work. Both will happen but are very important factors that make you better if you stick through it all. Doubt is not welcomed in me or around me.
What I want the world to know about Me and My brand is that we are here to make any vision you have for yourself or for your company a vision that everyone can see. I’m here to show the world whatever you have inside of your head. My company gives me the power to freeze time, hold memories, spread information, live again and make dreams a tangible reality. Because of this I have a purpose of bringing your thoughts to life through Film and Media. No matter the level you are in your business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a person of scenery so there are a few great places I’d take someone. First place is the Santa Monica Pier and Beach. It’s not only packed with a beautiful beach and cliff scenery but it has great food choices around the area and even on the Pier like “Bubba Gump” the restaurant inspire from the movie Forest Gump. It also has amazing bike trails and other cool things you can do right on the beach. It honestly became my favorite area when I moved to California.
Another great spot to me is White Point Beach down in San Pedro California. This spot is for the people that like lovely coast scenes and relaxation spots. The trails in this area are so beautiful and oversee the coast from a great height. I also enjoy how you can drive downward from a cliff and park your vehicle right next to the open ocean. It works extremely well for photographers no matter the occasion and a even better picnic area for small gatherings and family outings. On the top of the hill is a small park for children to play right next to the sea. It’s a spot there will remember for sure.
Lastly another amazing place I’d take someone is either Down Town LA or West Hollywood. Both areas have lots of great LA Staples seen from movies and TV shows all over the world. Both have great restaurants from old and new fashion points in time and both having amazing Bars for outings with friends and or relatives. Although the new Hollywood park in inglewood by the Forum has definitely became a new favorite spot because of the many new additional places added in that area like New movie theaters, a new stadium for concerts and sports games and even a new casino for the gamblers lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
2 people I want to give a shout-out to is my Wife Lauren Kinermon-Jones & My best friend Chris Robinson. I want to shout out my Wife because she made it not only easy but comfortable for me to take that leap of faith. I didn’t have doubt that I could start my own business, but I did feel the weight behind starting things and not making money immediately. Every married man wants to truly provide and protect what they honor and love in their relationship. The first year was rough mentally just trying to make ends meet financially. I had many sleepless nights and heavy morning tryings to build what I’ve built today. My Wife was very supportive and understood that everything doesn’t just happens over night. She would only be upset if I didn’t give my best while she bridged my gap. But it’s truly because of her help and belief in me that I was able to push forward and learn all I needed to learn to achieve many goals of mine.
My next shout out is my best friend Chris Robinson. He and I took the same leap of faith in the same field of work. He made sure everyday that even if we didn’t know what we were gonna do, we would definitely find something to do. He helped keep God in the forefront of our missions. He pushed us to reach new and different heights all the time. He kept us finding more knowledge and applying that knowledge in every area every chance we got. No matter the struggle, pain and hardships of growing, he would not let us give up at all. I truly would have taken the long route without his help and guidance through this journey. I’m very appreciative and grateful for him.
