We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Lima and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, I can say that it was a mix of self-discovery and the desire to create something meaningful. I have always had a passion for self-care, and so I created LaTerra, which is my natural cosmetics brand. Later, I also started doing creative mentoring, and I realized that I could transform this passion into an impactful project. The first step was to understand my values and what I wanted to offer the world, which led me to seek solutions that reflected authenticity and connection with people through my photography and audiovisual skills. I also thought a lot about the needs of the market, trying to find a way to combine my skills with what people really needed.

There were many challenges — from creating a strong brand to the practical side of the business, such as logistics and marketing. But I always stayed connected to my vision. With each obstacle, I revised my strategies, seeking support from people and tools that could help me grow. It was a continuous process of learning and adaptation.

What motivated me to move forward was the belief that I was building something bigger than myself, something that could transform people’s lives. This conviction helped me overcome initial uncertainties and continue dedicating myself to my business with passion and purpose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My artistic journey is a mix of inspiration and love for photography, audiovisual and, above all, nature, the art of observing what exists. What sets me apart is the fusion of these elements with a constant search for authenticity and inner transformation. I believe that art, like nature, is a process of alchemy, where raw material is transformed into something beautiful and profound. This concept also inspires my creative mentorship, Golden Synergy, which aims to awaken this personal alchemy in other creators.

In recent years, my professional trajectory has evolved into the area of creative direction and content creation for social media. This experience has allowed me to deeply understand the power of visual storytelling and the importance of genuinely connecting with the public. Creating creative and authentic strategies for brands is something that inspires me, and I apply this knowledge both in my art and in my brand.

One of the things I am most proud of is the creation of LaTerra, a natural cosmetics brand that carries the essence of the Amazon. Each product reflects not only external beauty, but also the connection with the earth, respect for natural resources and the search for balance between body and spirit.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show him the best time ever. Where would you take him? Give us a little itinerary – let’s say it was a week-long trip, where you would eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. What do you think are some of the most fun, interesting, and exciting people, places, or things to check out?
We would start the journey in Alto Paraíso, my hometown, a magical place in the heart of Brazil. I would definitely take him to visit one of the places that is very special to me, the place I call home, called Vila Paraiso, a beautiful and sustainable place, with waterfalls, an organic garden and crystals right in the middle of nature.
From there, we would visit a local market where we could try organic foods, like tapioca filled with fresh ingredients from the land.

At night, we would go to a healing circle, a common ritual in the region, where stories, music and experiences are shared in connection with nature and spirituality. And of course, I couldn’t forget the Lua Magic party that takes place every full moon, where everyone gets together to celebrate life. I also highly recommend trying the delicious and unique food by Bistro Juremita, made with local ingredients.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My entire process of self-knowledge and life experiences was thanks to my tutor Christof Rabanus, professor of Human Design, who helped me throughout my creative and authentic process, in which I now express myself and share with the aim of bringing about the regeneration of the earth.
