We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeurys Santiago and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeurys, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I noticed that there was so many great businesses around me , so many great entrepreneurs around me and so many great and talented artists around me . But I noticed that they wouldn’t work with one another on using each other to gain more exposure for each of their business. I noticed that they lacked in support from their own community. So I thought to myself how can I create a system in which everyone is working with one another to help each other succeed and that’s when I thought of minds with purpose which is a networking platform that helps present people with opportunities they normally wouldn’t have by making them part of the platform that then allows them to showcase their talents and ideas . Minds with purpose came about off the organizational systems that air bnb and uber have . They are systems that have people using something they own to make themselves money and the company money . Minds with purpose is the same thing except that the thing these people own is themselves and their ideas .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is the art of connecting individuals . What sets me apart from others is that I know how to connect those with people they don’t think they need to be connected with . Those connections that you may never thought you will make that’s what I specialize in and also just the genuine connections that I produce for those around me is what separates me from others . I am most proud of connecting individuals that then led to businesses being formed , friendships being created and experience that last for a lifetime . The way I got to where I am at today is thinking outside the box and not fearing failure or rejection . It definitely was not easy but its things that you must sacrifice in order to be successful one day . The way I would overcome the challenges is with my state of mind, when you are able to keep your composure and your head up then you can do it all . One of the most important lessons I have learned along the way is that everything is about perception , the way you perceive and react to things is the way they will impact you . What I want the world to know about my story is that if I can do it , so can you !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to somewhere relaxing first and just chop it up about life and see what ideas we come up with .We would definitely visit a sushi spot and a taco spot because those are my two favorite types of food . There we will network with the owners of the restaurants to see how we can help them grow . We will also visit 3 different bars per night because that is the best way to meet new people and just learn about one another over a few drinks .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Necc which is Northern Essex community college definitely deserves a shoutout being that they are the ones who first allowed my voice to be heard which then led to my confidence sky rocketing . My parents for sure for all the hard work they have done which inspires me to work as hard as them to give them the life that they deserve . Top notch scholars for allowing me to participate in a networking event that changed my view on many things in life . Eforall which is a non-profit that helps entrepreneurs , for definitely helping me structure out my idea . Also everyone who’s been supporting this idea of mine from day 1 , it couldn’t be done with out all of you .
