Meet Jezzy B | Professional DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jezzy B and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jezzy, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
To start appreciating all challenges. I was thrown into so many curve balls, but one thing that helped me overcome them was to accept them first, this helped with stress levels and anxiety that I used to experience when initially starting. As a DJ you never know what to expect! A client can switch everything last moment and you have to make it work!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Learned to DJ based off observation and being thrown into the industry. So I grasped everything I could! Every conversation, every other DJ’s set, every set up, I made sure to shadow and have hands on experience! I endured challenges I never thought I’d over come, like MCing for example. Before you would not catch me on the Mic, but now I make sure to hype the crowd I’m performing for! My confidence and love for entertainment has led me to DJ for clients like Danny Trejo, Jhene Aiko, Victoria Justice, and big foodie festivals like Vegan Street Fair!

I am also a Marketing Director to one of the scrumptious vegan spots, Spotless Burgers & Spotless Tacos! It’s a dream job. Their food is not only plant based but they have so many gluten free and soy free options which is hard to come by. I truly enjoy working for something I believe is changing the way we eat food.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh boy! You asked the right question! I DJ the biggest Vegan food festivals in So Cal, so I would definitely bring them to one and have them experience the most delicious food & they wouldn’t know it was plant-based ! We got it all from vegan chicken wings to sushi to donuts and even shrimp! There’s nothing that can’t be made vegan!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to my mentor, best friend, counselor, and amor DJ Mike Sincere. I would not be here if it wasn’t for his understanding and patience. He showed me the way and I am grateful for diving into this field.
