Meet Joe Marx | Luxury Event Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Marx and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joe, why did you pursue a creative career?
I didn’t have a choice! Music brings me so much joy and so much fulfillment — no matter where life has taken me, I’ve always found myself gravitating back to music. Even before it paid the bills, I spent all my free time practicing, writing, and booking flights to foreign countries just to street perform haha… playing music is overwhelmingly thrilling and I’m a thrill seeker… It didn’t take long for me to cut all my ties and completely dive in. Haven’t looked back since ✌️

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a live-looping singer-guitarist. I perform for luxury weddings, Fortune 500 corporations, and upscale private parties all over the globe. I’m excited to keep growing, branching out, and sharing my passion with people on an international scale.
It’s been a wild ride. I got to where I am through persistence, optimism, and a yearning for meaningful connection. I’ve learned that good energy and a great attitude is EVERYTHING — you’re going to run into obstacles (inevitably), but champions learn how to gracefully roll with the punches and keep moving forward.
What sets me apart is my ability to bring gorgeous music, enthusiasm, and genuinely good vibes to every single performance. I care deeply about creating an experience that feels elevated but still fun and personal. I want the world to know that I’m just excited to be here – I have the time, energy, and a BURNING DESIRE to perform for as many people as possible. Let’s see where we can take this.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh I’m reckless. I’ll burn through my entire life savings to make sure they have a good time — they’re not paying for anything.
Day one: We’re going to Erehwon for every meal, Gold’s Gym Venice, Griffith Observatory for sunset, and then Abbey West Hollywood for nightlife.
Day two: Erewhon for breakfast, Porsche Racing Experience all day, Nobu Malibu for sunset, Magic Castle to close out the night.
Day three: Erewhon for breakfast (you guessed it), Runyon Canyon hike, surf Malibu for sunset, Black Rabbit Rose.
Day four: Day trip to Yosemite, spend the entire day there. Don’t forget to pick up Erehwon on the way.
Day five: Spa day. Catered Erehwon. Crash a wedding at Bel Air Bay Club
Day six: Ride horseback up to the Hollywood sign in the morning, LACMA, Grand Central Market, and a Dodgers game at night.
Day seven: Run the LA Marathon. Postmates Erehwon twice cause you missed it yesterday.
Day eight: Send that friend on their merry way (they just had the time of their life)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a really solid core group of friends that keep me motivated and inspired… they know who they are. But it doesn’t end there — my family played a pivotal role in getting me started, and there are countless people around the world who inspire me to keep going. I do this because I love connecting with others, and without the encouragement of everyone who has watched me perform, I wouldn’t be where I am today… so if you’re reading this, THANK YOU.
