We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Gore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My goal was to help as many people as possible

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career is that I am a model and personal trainer! The thing that sets me apart from both is that I have a very powerful reason why behind me. The reason for me to want to move forward and continue to work for the dream when times get tough. I am really proud of the progress that has been made and the companies I shot with. I am also proud of each person’s life I get to change and impact with personal training.

Where I got today professionally wasn’t easy, and I still have a long way to go. There was times where I had zero money to my name. There were times where I was running off of zero sleep. The main way I got through everything was the believe in myself and powerful positive thinking. I would look at things as a challenge or test.

One of the main lessons that I learned is that you can put out to the world that you desire something or a goal, You can work hard as possible for that goal, But forcing it and wanting to make it happen over night will not make it happen.

The main thing I would like people to know about my story that I hope they can use to help motivate them is to work hard to become the version that my younger self couldn’t be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first take my friends to grab coffee at my favorite cafe Illcafe to hangout, get work done, and chill. Then I would take my friends to my favorite gym, John Reed in downtown. Then to the intercontinental hotel to the 70th floor to see the amazing view.

After that we would go to manhattan beach to get some calm vibes! After that, I would make my way up north to the Santa Monica mountains to hike a short 3 miles to see one of my favorite overlooks of the city.

Finally, we would watch the sunset in Malibu to hang out at the beach and surf if they are interested.

All depending on how much traffic and if they have enough energy to keep up.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There would be two people I would shoutout. My First mentor when I was 18 years Joe Gudger. Second is my mother agent Nico Losado
