We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnse Allende Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Johnse, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Ever since I was a little kid, like the age of 5…. I always had an image in my head that I was a superstar. I’ve wanted to be famous at all cost. I didn’t understand that this was something that I have manifested ever since I was young and I’m slowly living the dream. But it’s not easy lol.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
All my life, I have overcome many things… from being in foster care to where I’m at in life today.. sacrificing everything to live my dream into becoming an artist. I left my hometown, Puerto Rico just to pursue my number one mission in life which is to be an actor. I think the tolerance of making so many sacrifices to be where I’m at today has set me apart from everyone else and I choose to continue and will probably never stop after “I make it” in the industry. I learned that life is about what you can make out of it in the shortest time with the biggest aspiration to inspire before I expire. I’m still here overcoming obstacles little by little as I learn my strengths and weaknesses, taking advantage of both to be able to continue move forward as I live an artistic life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Restaurants, car shows, theme parks and Beverly Hills ( my favorite city). Then other cities in LA. Even maybe squeeze a trip to San Francisco. It reminds me of New York City.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Choice Skinner, my acting coach, mentor and one of my brothers in life. Very dedicated and talented human being. He deserves the world. I thank him for helping my artistry grow.
