Meet Jordan Duvall: Creative Director & Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Duvall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always had my own business whether it was photography, design, or making jewelry. I reached a point where I wanted a “real business” with proper systems, structures, marketing, packaging, etc vs having a creative side hustle and so I invested in myself and hired a business coach. I never learned the proper business skills on my own and I knew I needed an expert to guide me. My biggest motivator was being able to combine all my talents across marketing, advertising, art direction, and design in one place so that I could be in flow, enjoy the work I was doing and feel like I was truly making a difference in my client’s lives and businesses.

The name Ignite Your Soul Brand came from a flash of inspiration at Tony Robbin’s “Unleash the Power Within” event. But let me back up a minute…

Throughout my years in advertising, I found that we never had a proper strategy to follow. We were always shooting in the dark hoping to land on a campaign the client would sign off on. That resulted in a lot of frustration and being so drained creatively.

Branding for me is all about having a solid strategy so you can create an in-demand brand infused with meaning and magnetism, aligned with the core essence of the business owner’s vision.

Sp that weekend at UPW, I was walking around seeing the event staff wearing t-shirts that said ignite and it hit me – “Ignite Your Soul Brand.” And my business took off from there.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Photography is my love language. As the saying goes, a picture is worth 1000 words. I truly believe that because our subconscious mind interprets the world through pictures and symbols and visual communication is the fastest way to connect and convert. My clients tell me that I draw out their authentic self and that shines through in their brand photos in a way that conveys who they truly are. Creative directing photoshoots is my art… orchestrating the team, holding the vision, ensuring all the details come together seamlessly… that’s my superpower.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d book a spa day with massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, and any other treatments we could squeeze in to kick things off. Then we’d have a delicious healthy meal and crawl into our luxurious hotel beds and watch a chick flick and have the best night of sleep of our lives. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow! There are so many. Tracy Litt has played a huge role in my success. I joined her Mind Magic program in April 2020 and diving into that mindset work was pivotal to my business growth as well as my sanity during the pandemic. And at the same time, I was going through the program, I was listening to “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown and kept asking myself, “How can I simplify my business and really own my ONE thing.” Tracy’s coaching helped me gain the confidence that I could make choices in my business to do less and more of what I love to do. So I finally took the leap and create a program that deep dives into how to decode your brand essence so you can convey your vision with messaging and visuals that are congruent. I was blown away by the response and am really excited to witness the transformations that are born as a result of this work.
