We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk play such a grand part of my life and career. To this very moment I’ve realized how much of who I’ve become is due to taking risk. The Doctors once told my mom there would be things I physically or mentally may be incapable of because of my death defying car accident as an infant. Yet here I am fit and dancing, singing, and mentally capable of learning anything. I am a limitless being working to be a better Artist everyday in all facets. Change is constant and with that comes the challenge of leaving your comfortability because you will get comfortable. So I take those risk on myself that would move me and teach me in the direction of my higher purpose as an Artist. Because there are no limits to what we are capable of and only we decide that I’ve learned that to keep growing you must leave comfortability at times. To love what you do is to risk not conforming or quitting when challenges arise. Any choices that can potentially change the course one is on for new opportunities or new life is always worth it. I have survived, we all have and now it’s time to live. With every decision you are leaving one space for the unknown which will guarantee change and growth. When you incorporate all you are constantly becoming your goals and dreams become your reality. We are truly the creators of our world and our lives we live. With that being said taking a risk for what brings you joy, what you love, and your dreams will always be worth it. You are who you are becoming.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My love for Artistry keeps me pretty busy. This consist of many forms of art from singing, to writing, to speaking, or giving back to the kids in my community in ways that inspire them to love and create. In these ways I am able to connect with those on the streets as well as those in the biggest of homes. What sets me apart is the embodiment of love and all that I do wherever I am. We often hide inside and feel alone, so my goal each day is and will always be to remind the world love is here and your life is yours to create. From Detroit, MI to Miami, FL then to Atlanta, GA to Los Angeles, Ca my journey has proved many challenges when living to create from a genuine place. Change is always constant so I am always looking for ways to create now and I hope inspire more to live their dreams now as well. I got to where I am by Resilience and constantly working on myself mentally, physically, and spiritually because the world test us each day, but if you are prepared to do the work, you will achieve every goal you set for yourself. I am constantly working to improve myself not by always being the best or perfect but to become better physically, mentally, and spiritually. This could mean Vocal practice and the gym or reading and meditation because these things keep me giving love to myself while loving the world the my forms of Art. I want the world to know that I Jordan embody love and that if anyone ever feels alone my music, writing, words, or presence is there for them to not feel alone. For I have overcome my challenges by going within and remembering that I am never without.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love nature and being outdoors. The beach is one of the most serene and beautiful places in the world no matter what beach you reside on. The beach under the sun is one of my favorite spots. It’s one of the reasons why I love California. I am also in love with Honey, if you can make your way to Sedona, AZ it’s a well worth it trip for any creative because of it’s beauty and The Savanna Bee Company. I am very active so I would recommend one of the many hidden or popular hikes, the sunsets in LA are unmatched. I am also a lover of films so The Movies at The Cemetery is pretty awesome too because you can bring a group and any food or beverage and enjoy classic films on a lawn in Hollywood.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this to my Mother Lisa Weir and Grand Father Pap-Pap first and foremost for raising me with an unmatched level of love and spirit. Their love and drive to be better and impact the lives around them is still incredibly inspiring. I was raised around such hardworking parents and mentors that my Dream becoming my reality was something I never gave up on and will not. They sought out more knowledge and ways to help and inspire others while being tested themselves. They took risk and gave themselves so much. To stand for love is to stand for all but also to fill oneself with love first. I would also like to thank Nick Cannon for his words of wisdom and for believing in me when he found me living in my car with my dog. He not only invited me into his team of NCREDIBLE but he left me with a drive to be better and to work harder on my craft and self. To this moment my journey has grown me and continues to because I know I am a limitless being and though I have big dreams they are not just for me, but to inspire love into the world through music and art. I would also like to recognize my family and friends that have supported me on this journey because it has often taken me across the country away from them.
