Meet Jordan Sweet | Digital Marketing Strategist, Content Creator, and Model/Actor.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Sweet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, how do you think about risk?
Risk-taking is the foundation of my faith, ambition, and every major milestone in my career. I’ve learned that without risk, there’s no real growth. Whenever I encounter doubt—whether from others or within myself—it fuels me to push harder and prove that I can. Some of my biggest opportunities in content creation, fashion, and digital strategy came from embracing the unknown, even when fear was present.
In fact, I welcome fear. If I’m about to take a big step and don’t feel at least some level of uncertainty, I get concerned—it means I’m not challenging myself enough. To me, risk-taking isn’t about recklessness; it’s about trust—trusting my instincts, my preparation, and my ability to navigate whatever comes next. That internal dialogue, the constant negotiation between doubt and courage, is something I’ve learned to lean into rather than avoid.
One of the biggest risks I took was traveling to Ireland to film as a participant on The Floor Season 3. Saying yes to this opportunity meant stepping into the unknown, but it led to an unforgettable experience—being featured on national television, traveling internationally at no cost, and connecting with over 100 talented creatives. It was a leap of faith that reinforced my belief that risk isn’t just about taking chances; it’s about stepping into moments that can redefine your path in ways you never imagined.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My artistry is deeply rooted in storytelling—whether through content creation, fashion, modeling, or digital strategy. I see my work as a bridge, connecting culture, individuality, and self-expression in a way that resonates with people. What sets me apart is my ability to infuse authenticity into everything I create. I don’t just follow trends; I craft narratives that feel personal, intentional, and impactful.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my willingness to take risks and evolve. Whether stepping in front of the camera as a model, curating campaigns for brands, or engaging audiences through digital media, I constantly push myself beyond my comfort zone. A standout moment for me has been collaborating with major brands throughout 2024-2025, including Levi’s, Versace, and Marc Nolan. These partnerships have allowed me to blend creativity with fashion, storytelling, and digital strategy in a way that feels true to me. They’ve also reinforced my ability to bring a unique vision to every project and create work that is both meaningful and innovative.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. The creative industry is competitive, and there were times I questioned my path. But I learned that resilience, adaptability, and staying true to my vision are key. Overcoming challenges meant surrounding myself with a strong community—mentors, fellow creatives, and industry professionals who believed in me and reminded me why I started.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about consistency, networking, and fearlessly pursuing your goals. I’ve also realized the power of intentionality. Every opportunity, every collaboration, and every piece of content I create is a reflection of my passion and purpose.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m here to inspire. My journey is proof that betting on yourself pays off, that creativity has no limits, and that storytelling—whether through fashion, film, or digital content—has the power to shift perspectives. I want my work to leave a lasting impact, encourage others to take risks, and prove that authenticity will always set you apart.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting LA for a week, I’d make sure they got the full experience—good food, great vibes, and unforgettable moments. We’d start with some of my go-to food spots, like A Beautiful Life Jamaican Kitchen in DTLA for a flavorful start, Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen for some classic comfort food, and Joey DTLA for a chic but laid-back dining experience. For a fun brunch, we’d hit up Blu Jam Café! And of course, we’d have to grab tacos from Leo’s Tacos Truck—because an LA trip isn’t complete without late-night street tacos.
For nightlife, we’d hit up Familiar Faces for a cool, intimate vibe with good music and great energy, then Love Note DTLA, a spot that feels like a house party but with better aesthetics and a curated crowd. And I can’t forget about WeHo—whether it’s a night out on Santa Monica Blvd or a rooftop lounge, the energy there is unmatched.
During the day, we’d balance it out with some arts and culture. The Broad Museum is a must for contemporary art, and LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) is always worth a visit. We’d also check out The Getty for stunning architecture and incredible city views. For some fresh air, we’d hit up Venice Beach for the boardwalk energy or take a hike at Runyon Canyon for those scenic LA skyline views.
Shopping and exploring are a must, so we’d stop by The Last Bookstore—a dreamy, aesthetic space perfect for book lovers—and then wander around Melrose Trading Post on a Sunday to hunt for vintage gems. Row DTLA is another cool spot for boutique shopping and food pop-ups.
To wrap up the week, we’d have a chill day in Malibu, lounging at El Matador Beach. Then, we’d take a sunset drive down PCH, blasting music and reflecting on a week well spent. LA has something for every mood, and no two trips ever feel the same—but that’s exactly why I love it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My journey wouldn’t be what it is without the unwavering support of so many incredible people. First and foremost, my family has been my rock—especially my parents, who have always believed in me and nurtured my dreams from the very beginning.
I’ve been deeply immersed in the world of acting and modeling, largely inspired by my late cousin, Simone Battle, a former member of G.R.L. Simone’s passion, work ethic, and undeniable talent left a lasting impact on me. Even after her passing, her sister, Joyeux Noelle Battle, has continued to uplift and guide me, offering both motivation and honest critiques when needed. Their influence has played a huge role in my fearless pursuit of my passions.
I also want to recognize Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Divine Nine (D9) community for shaping my leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence. Being part of such a historic brotherhood has provided me with a powerful network of inspiring individuals who push me to grow both personally and professionally.
Additionally, my time at UIC—both as a student and through organizations like Black Students in Business and the Study Abroad Office—expanded my perspective in invaluable ways. Studying abroad in Milan was a transformative experience that strengthened my adaptability, independence, and global mindset.
On the creative side, I have to give credit to my peers in the content creation space—fellow models, influencers, and digital strategists—who continuously inspire me. The industry can be challenging, but having a community that fosters collaboration and support makes all the difference.
Lastly, I’m incredibly grateful for every mentor, brand, and platform that has believed in my vision and given me opportunities to shine. Every connection has played a role in my journey, and I look forward to continuing to pay it forward.
