Hi Jorge, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance is an intriguing aspect of entrepreneurship, one that evolves with experience. At the start, there’s a common misconception that being an entrepreneur means having complete control over your time. While it’s true that you’re your own boss, the reality is that success in entrepreneurship demands relentless dedication and effort. The hard truth is that if you don’t put in the work and the hustle, you won’t attract clients or generate income. It’s a continuous journey where your efforts directly correlate with your outcomes.

As Ovlivion MKT grew, my understanding of work-life balance transformed. Initially, there was an intense focus on building the company, often leading to extended work hours. However, as our team expanded and our processes matured, I realized the importance of maintaining a healthier balance. It’s about making conscious choices to optimize productivity during work hours and finding ways to recharge outside of work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m thrilled to discuss the artistic journey that has shaped both myself and Ovlivion MKT. One element that has truly set us apart is our ability to infuse cinema-grade quality into projects across a spectrum of budgets. Our unique approach enables us to deliver exceptional video productions to clients seeking to distinguish themselves from their competitors. What makes me incredibly proud is our capacity to create captivating videos that captivate audiences without the need for an expansive team of 20+ creatives.

Our journey has been both exciting and challenging. The professional landscape we operate in is often perceived as requiring substantial resources and large teams. Overcoming this perception and showcasing our ability to deliver outstanding results with efficiency was a hurdle. We’ve defied this norm by demonstrating that talent, innovation, and creative vision can reshape the industry. The challenges we’ve faced have acted as stepping stones, leading us to develop streamlined processes and innovative strategies that have become our hallmark.

Through these challenges, I’ve learned that innovation doesn’t necessarily correlate with the size of a team or the magnitude of resources. True innovation is rooted in finding solutions that push boundaries and offer exceptional value to clients. It’s about adapting to changes and leveraging new technologies to remain at the forefront of the industry.

At the core of our brand’s story is the belief that exceptional creative services are not solely the domain of large corporations. Small and medium-sized businesses deserve equally remarkable marketing and branding strategies. Our approach is all about making a significant impact with a focused team, delivering high-quality videos that resonate with audiences and drive results.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Certainly, to explain a whole itinerary for a whole week in LA I would never finish writing since there is a lot to do. I’d begin with a walk along Santa Monica Beach, relishing the sunrise and the calming ocean waves. We’d then venture to The Getty Center, soaking in impressive art collections and architectural marvels. A midday stop at Grand Central Market would allow us to indulge in a variety of culinary delights. Our afternoon would be dedicated to exploring the vibrant street art scene in the Arts District, and we’d wrap up the day at Griffith Observatory, marveling at panoramic views of the city and its sparkling lights at dusk.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with numerous successful individuals who have been instrumental in shaping my aspirations and goals. Among them, I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my clients and friends who started the same way I’m starting right now. My mentors have been both the clients I’ve had the privilege to work with and the professionals who have taken the time to guide me on my entrepreneurial path. Each project I’ve undertaken has not only been a business endeavor but also a learning experience.
