We had the good fortune of connecting with Jose Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jose, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think that taking a risk is pretty challenging and intense because you are putting yourself in a situation were you are at a high chance of failing and getting out of your comfort zone however I think that taking a risk is still a good thing because you can actually learn and grow since you are learning new things that you do not know. The role that taking risks has played in my life and career was taking these challenging classes back in college, I took a difficult health science class, a difficult U.S history class and a difficult communications class that I was afraid I was going to fail all three classes but I pushed through that risk and thankfully I passed all three classes and to this day, I am proud of have taken that risk because I would have not gotten far at all. It was like having to climb a mountain in the middle of no where.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a host and entertainer, I have a talk show called “The Jose Show”, were I get to talk all things about Celebrity news and gossip and I always enjoy doing that because its what I have always dreamed to do and it is so much fun having to share my own opinions to every one else on what I think about these celebrities, I do it every day on my instagram. I basically get to connect with my audience in a very friendly way when I get to do my show because I feel like I’m having a great time sharing my feelings and thoughts to all of my viewers which has been very important to me. My journey started on YouTube 6 years ago when I started to upload videos of myself talking about celebrity gossip, but at the time I was so innocent and did not have that much knowledge on hosting a show or blog since I was new at it that I would think and think on what else to say but I would not give up at all and not disappoint any of my YouTube viewers so than later after that I noticed how huge instagrammers and tiktokers were becoming because of their celebrity gossip and other stuff, that then I started doing “The Jose Show” from instagram and that was when I got bigger and bigger, I noticed I started getting up to 4,000 views on an episode and then that’s when I started to do my show way more often. Doing this show has taught me that doing hosting a show is not as easy as it seems, it’s actually a challenge to be on point with everything you say and not messing up on the stuff that you say, it has also taught me how important it is to inform and entertain in order to actually get an audience. I am super grateful to have gotten huge now on social media but I look forward to doing even bigger things in the near future such as hosting bigger shows like TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood or even have my own show and I know that with God and confidence, it is all possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend of mine were to visit the area, I would take them to Hollywood, California because that is were all of the fun is at since there is the Walk Of Fame, TV/Movie studios to tour, museums and so much more to visit! I would also go to the viper room with my friend and enjoy some great music from great artists because there are usually great new artists that perform there. If me and my friend were to hangout at those places in Hollywood for a whole entire week, we would be the happiest people on earth.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my true inspirations, the co hosts of the talk show “The Real” and talk show host Sherri Shepherd for inspiring me to become an entertainer on instagram because they are funny, intelligent and really good talk show hosts. They are also the main reason why I feel confident and motivated into doing what I do, every little advice that they put out there on TV I always take with me because I know that they always have the best advice there is and they are always so honest with their audience. I also want to dedicate my shout out to my supporters for always believing in me and supporting me because if it wasn’t for them I also wouldn’t feel encouraged and motivated into doing what I do.
