We had the good fortune of connecting with Jourdan Blue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jourdan, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Overall, my goal in life is to positively impact this generation and future generations to come through my music and social media platform. This is something I try to do every single day through uplifting messages on my socials, through the songs I write, through face to face interactions with the people I meet, etc. However, a long-term goal of mine is to be an EGOT (the achievement of having won all four of the major American entertainment awards (i.e. an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony)

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets my music apart from others is not only the diversity of genres and tones, but also the feeling in your soul when you listen. For me, music is a lot more than pretty sounds that are pleasant to hear… It’s how I communicate and share my story. I have a lot to say and so many emotions to share, and when I start singing for an audience, it’s a transfer of energy between everyone. It’s such a beautiful feeling to share with anyone, and the fact that most of the time it’s between strangers is something you can’t put a price on. That’s why I love singing for the world. It definitely wasn’t an easy task to get to where I am today, but through hard work and dedication, anything is possible. With The Universe on my side, as well as the Blue Crew, I’m ready to take on any task thrown my way.
I want the world to know that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, just like I am. It might seem impossible when you’re looking at the distance in between now and the end, but set small increments of goals and keep working towards your dreams. I promise you’ll get there in no time 💙

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana, home to the best food in the world, Jazz Music, diverse cultures, and let’s not forget MARDI GRAS!!! If you come to New Orleans, stopping at Cafe du Monde for some beignets is a MUST. After some morning coffee and beignets, I would take a walk around Jackson Square and the French Quarter. There’s so much to do and see there. Next, I recommend finding somewhere to eat some crawfish étouffée, gumbo, and jambalaya. To end the night, go and grab some drinks on Bourbon Street to get the full New Orleans experience. Lastly, one of my favorite things to do in New Orleans is have dinner on the Steamboat Natchez. It’s such a peaceful experience listening to the jazz band over a nice meal!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a HUGE shoutout to the Blue Crew!!! This group of supporters has helped me through so much in the last year, and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for them. Morally…Financially…Emotionally… This group of Earth Angels has supported me in every way that they possible could and I’m so thankful to have them in my life. I LOVE YOU BLUE CREW 💙
