Meet Judith Goldstein | Owner Luca :-)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Judith Goldstein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi judith, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I think that the social impact of Luca has been to give people an clean and safe alternatives to self care and home care. Many people are started to wake up to the fact that many of our products are loaded with toxic chemicals that cause disease, infertility and mental health issues. A lot of people want to use safe, plant based products, however they either do not know where to purchase these products or which products to use. I think clean, plant based products feel inaccessible to many people and Luca is changing that. By curating products that are non toxic and effective, being knowledgable about our products and offering goods at fair prices, we are making clean products more accessible to people and helping our community live healthier and happier lives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The thing that I am definitely most proud of about Luca is that we created something that brings value to people’s lives. We created something that people love and appreciate. We see that Luca is a space that makes people feel good and safe. Ultimately that is what I made this space for and nothing makes me feel more proud. That was the gaol when we started Luca and it’s so fulfilling to see how it supports the community.
Creating something of value is always going to be a labor of love that takes a lot of hard work, time and dedication. That’s just the truth. You have to really be dedicated to your craft if you want to build something special and meaningful. Everyday is a new challenge when you run a small business. There are challenges I overcome and there are new challenges that come, it’s a constant learning experience. For this reason I would say that overcoming challenges is just about being resilient, not giving up, staying positive, and always moving forward. I learned not to dwell on things and just take steps forward everyday. If there is an issue, I sometimes have to try many things in order to resolve it. So it’s about being persistent and patient. Challenges are a part of owning a business, so you either learn how to manage them with grace or let it take over you. That’s very hard to do , but it’s something Important to learn, especially if you want your business around for the long term.
I think the most important thing for people to know about our brand is that It’s truly a labor of love. Me and my staff do everything for Luca with so. much love and care because we believe in what Luca is and how it helps people.. We want Luca to grow so that it can be a source of care for more and more people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Lunch and quarter sheets pizza and a hike to the Griffith Park Observatory after

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I always dedicate everything Luca is first and foremost to the team I work with and to our community. If it wasn’t for my incredible team of smart, hardworking and caring people, Luca would not be what it is today. Without a community who supports us physically, spiritually and emotionally, we wouldn’t have the honor to the work we do.
