We had the good fortune of connecting with Ju!ian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ju!ian, why did you pursue a creative career?
Ever since I was younger I’ve always had an aspiration to pursue my artistic endeavors. What brings me happiness is being able to inspire and create music or something to bring joy to other people. Music is an easy way to connect to people and what’s rewarding is when they’re able to relate to what I write about. When people tell me they went through the same experiences I did or that they relate to the song on a whole another level, I feel complete.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I finished recording my first song “Waitin Patiently” I had no intentions of releasing it, but after playing it for my friends (Sierra Camaddo and Stephanie Hadley) and for my Mom for the first time, they loved it. That’s when I immediately knew I had to share my music and become an independent artist. I knew the journey wasn’t going to be easy and it still proves so with constantly being treated as lesser than or being put down by other artists, but it’s just about being myself, everything comes with it’s ups and downs and if I’m there for someone with my music and inspiring someone the journey is worth it. So far I’m excited to continue to grow and im looking forward to what’s to come still.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Coachella valley where I am Born and raised isn’t as glamorous as the “Coachella festival” makes it out to be, it’s nothing bad either it’s just a small quaint town that’s in the middle of a desert. Strangely I love it here because it’s so quiet and desolate but at come point I do see myself moving outward, but until that time comes you’re more than welcome to drive around with me in my car taking in the night sky and walking around stores to kill time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly I want to shout out my friends and family, Mom and Dad for always encouraging me to continue in my artistic journey with their unconditional love and support. Secondly I want to thank my creative support, Ambry Padilla my co-collaborator for her amazing talent, ideas, and her friendship. The team of Nerdenfilms and Leonardo Esparza for fueling my ideas and making anything possible.
