We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia Lumpkin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Initially in January of 2020, I started as a freelancer, hoping to just discover more about the kind of work I liked doing. However, I started getting referrals and discovering more opportunities with my skillset to help businesses during the pandemic sell their services online. After about 6 months, I realized that I had a huge opportunity to serve a distinct niche of business owners and decide to officially ramp up marketing with a website and social media launch. Now I’m almost 3 years in business!

What should our readers know about your business?
Magnify Consulting provides minority and women-owned businesses digital marketing services including SEO, Email Marketing, and Website Enhancements. With a dual background in artistry and tech, we know what it’s like to stand out, and want to help our clients do the same.

The company has seen a huge increase in demand, and we’ve had great success through referrals and organic marketing obtaining clients and partnerships with industry professionals.

The challenge as an entrepreneur has been keeping up with the demand as well as the operational and day-to-day tasks of running the business while also being one of the primary executors of services. I’ve been able to find support and overcome the challenges of running a business by working with mentors and joining communities that support me if I’m feeling stuck and offer solutions.

I believe everyone should have access to attainable marketing for their online presence. The company was formed out of passion for the work and the goal is to make lasting connections while educating clients.
