Meet Julieanne “juel” Salazar | (…so it’s “JulieAnne ‘Juel’ Salazar”) PR Branding/Marketing Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julieanne “juel” Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JulieAnne “Juel”, what inspires you?
The ability to create something—whether it’s a business idea, brand, product, or movement—or simply supporting my clients and affiliates in bringing their vision to life is incredibly fulfilling. However, the most awe-inspiring moment is watching the brand flourish into something extraordinary and seeing the success firsthand. What truly inspires me above all, is thriving in my purpose of serving others, helping them elevate their potential, and seeing them realize their vision as it all comes to life.

What should our readers know about your business?
When I first started, the goal was to be able to provide the independent artist/brand/talent/musician with every resource possibly thought of to be successful within their journey. When initiated this movement in 2007/2008 there was no access outside of your local open mic performance spots, therefore then it wasn’t an easily directed journey, yet amongst many others behind the scenes such as some of the names I mentioned previously we created it! For the first time ever in history, the music industry was evolving and expanding to the masses through the revolution of the internet. With streaming services and online stores coming into existence, for the first time, any independent brand was able to explore the possibilities to become successful within the near future at that time. I remember in 2008 when I stepped out even to a corner local liquor store, and if someone said my name “Juel” a flock of up-and-coming talents would quickly rush me to get my contact info and to work with them. (lol) It was the humblest collection of moments of my early career, I knew I was doing something right if they saw me as an important contact for their successful journey.
I’m grateful that, thanks to the many relationships I’ve built behind the scenes, I’ve been able to achieve my goals and secure access to all the necessary resources for my clients and the brands I represent. The key is staying at the forefront of technology, and I am incredibly grateful for the partners who have stood by my side through the years. I truly appreciate my circle of people.
I am not a specialist in every area, yet I am a specialist at what I do- and work amongst a team of specialists. I’m not your typical PR, as I also coach my talents/brands in every step of their careers whether they are starting from ground zero or already on the rise, we create strategic fully rounded game plans in every area, and if I don’t have all the resources, I assure to link them within my professional network to make those connections and reach their acclimations. I also implement the 4 elements into my game plans which I talk about in my first book. “The Secret Sauce – Your Engine to Success in the Music Business” https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Sauce-Engine-Success-Business/dp/B0B8LCBH8Y
The only thing that keeps me going truly aside from all the knowledge, connections, relationships, etc, is consistently educating myself within every possible element that has to do with the growth of my business which in turn are all key components to assisting my clients. Above all is the continuation of frequency building and strengthening my mindset, which again in turn helps me in supporting the many brands I represent. By far is anything we do in life, yet as they say “Choose Your Hard”.
At the end of the day, I am here to serve others within my purpose, and as I love my brand. I also have a deep passion and love for other brands alike, especially when they have a great story to tell and support our communities as well. We are the innovators who create, build, and shift the trajectory of our future. So let’s Make History Today!!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I’m in Vegas about part-time of my monthly life (lol) sooo… therefore can be just about anywhere from Freemont- to Arts District, to Vegas’ famous Strip. Yet for me, I appreciate more intimate environments, being I spend a large part of my life in the limelight lol. And most of my closest friends are in the industry in some way or fashion. Yet if we say perhaps a close family member or someone I grew up with who has nothing to do with the industry I would suggest to spending time visiting Sunflower Field, Kayaking, Bowling, and if we’re stepping out would definitely hit “On the Record”, off the strip Hookah spot, and great food places such as “Blueberry Hill” at 5 am after the club, “Peppermill” on a Saturday or Sunday brunch, and got to make a stop to “Grand Lux Cafe” along with some comedy shows such as my good people; “Eddie Griffin”. And if summer though we’re hitting the water parks, everyday party ie: Daylight, Encore, Drais, Tao, Wet, etc., and of course the special 420 – mansion party events that pop off. Although these may not be so lowkey, we either enjoy the sun and water which I love if not being amongst my colleagues- and affiliates.
As a Cali girl, who expects less, if in LA it would be the beach and coastal drives to small towns along the coast, along with VIP industry mixer parties.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well…. since you asked lol.. here is a little bit of History of who I like to feature within my article:
I am always beyond grateful for the journey from where I started and ongoing, as each chapter has been life-changing as well as crucial to the ongoing growth of my business. I feel success isn’t about a destination, rather the ongoing journey in reaching acclimations that change and impact the world. With that said I am so grateful to of worked with such brands from the beginning up till currently. Growing up my parents and family have had a huge impact in my life in the music/ent business. Without them I probably may have never been as far in my career as I am today, which respectfully I’m just getting started lol …if I’d say so myself (ijs much more coming soon! shhh…) Growing up I was able to live within the limelight from piano recitals, walking the catwalk as a professional model for many department stores and storefronts, sang in front of thousands since the age of 13 as my parent’s background singer, and by 15 had my own band, and not to mention being a professional dancer.
By 2016 I got the opportunity to work alongside one of the industry’s greatest Marketing Vet “Cool Vee” aka “Mr. Official Whistle” CEO of Rated Next Radio Network, who was known to assist so many brands ie: (not limited to…) Digiwaxx, Sean John brand, KRS1, Ashanti, Stevie Stone, Wale, Mac Miller, Sean Kingston and so many more.. Working with him we charted and/or launched the first campaigns ie (not limited to…) Cardi B “Red Bottoms”, Toni Romiti, Paigey Cakey, Stefflon Don, Shenseea, and so many more…
Once I decided to step into the Music business behind the scenes I was honored and blessed to be aligned with many great talents from the OG’s to the trending. Started my early career working with new brands who also took a stand to bring our communities resource outlets aside from the known brands such as “Music Changing Lives” 501(c)3 out of Inland Empire, CA, Street Motivation Magazine, TipDrill Magazine, Soul Central Magazine, and so many more. In the early 2000’s joined forces with California’s top booking agents from Sean Healy, B. Clark (rip), M4, Top Class Booking Agency, Getmeashow, and many more. This experience allowed me to deliver local media with all the sauce on upcoming major events ie (such as yet not limited to… ) Dj Carisma events at Shark Club, Key Club Hollywood events, headlining events ie (such as yet not limited to…) David Banner, Nipsey Hussle, YG, O.T. Genasis Paul Wall, Power House official after party with Post Malone 2017, Mozzy, RJ, Lyfe Jennings, Rich the Kid, Cardi B, etc, etc, etc., and not to mention the festivals: Doobiesesh (one of our very own), Kush Stock, Shatter Cup, and many more. We brought the city out every time (lol) respectfully!
By 2018 I was able to meet back up with one of the first talents I worked w/ back in the “Keys Club – Hollywood” days, who was then known as Cypher, whom we met through his cousin Murdock also a current music writer and musician. In 2018, Cypher had a whole other alias and was about to change the game and I was grateful to join him on the journey as the PR/Admin of the movement. He is better known today as “Chris Tyson” the owner and creator of “Viral Media Boost” #1 Music Media Marketing platform since 2018, and the creator of “Music Funding Academy”. To date we service about 60% of the Music Industry, over 40k and counting indie artist/brands, and worked with pretty much every major music label in the game.
To accomplish all the above, I am blessed to have acquired every component along the journey who I have been able to partner w/for services to the many affiliate brands who i cross-network with and support me inhouse. From well-known brands ie: (yet not limited to…) High Cal Music, Brick to ya Face, Project Blow, 5051 Music, Prophets & Kings (the original PAK), Big D (rip), Coalition DJ’s, Rockroom dj’s, Core Dj’s, Mia J (biz partner of our platform Artist Connext), SS Global Media, EROS, Intellectual Vibez, Sara Rose, Hollywood Entertainment, Bravestone Records, Genius Minds Entertainment, Badazz Music Syndicate, Global Billboards, Timeless Music Foundation, Club Siccs, Live Outside TV, Diverse City Media, IESoundTrack, Industries Most Wanted, Major Music, Keyz the Producer, Eazy Drip, PAP “Puzzle Art Publishing, Eezy Drip, aka (Voices of the Voiceless), R.O.A.D., Road 2 Zambia, JK and Partners, Writing Sessions America, and countless others.
Personally I like to dedicate a shoutout to the following brands who are a part of today’s current movement for what’s to come. One of my artists who has had the Westcoast on lock and is about to bring some flavors to Major Gang movement; “Ashanti Major” @ashantimajor, My partner in life and business ‘Ceo Zay’ of Nuff Noize Ent, Givindabizness, and more… @darealceozay @givindabizness, Dj Memphis Hollywood @djmemphishollywood of Hollywood Entertainment bringing entertainment to Vegas and beyond, Mr. Shane Poo @mrshaneypoo (another one of my talents & CEO of Blac Pop Music & Show & Tell Boston podcast), Trayvon of Global Billboards @mrceomistro, and Dominique Danielle @dominiquedaniell3 Artist/Creator (Social Media Influencer). If i could go on and on.. s/o to all!!!
