Meet Jungpil Han | Tattooer & Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jungpil Han and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jungpil, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Because since I was young, when I drew and created something, I hoped that my emotions and thoughts would be conveyed to those who see it. There are times when it is conveyed accurately, but I have also been fascinated by seeing completely different perspectives and different emotions, and those are a human feelings that cannot be hidden. I pursue art that expresses instinct in various ways.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Like the work of all artists,
My work is made up of hundreds of fixes, thousands of anguish, and tens of thousands of brushstrokes, and I can say that it is special because it contains inner feelings and soul in a moment.

Creation wasn’t always easy. I’m worried about what to draw and how to tell my message, but I’m doing it so far because I can’t change the satisfaction when I enjoyed the process.
The lesson I’ve learned from the process so far is that creations can only be born only if you endure the anguish and pain.

I hope my various feelings and many thoughts will be conveyed to everyone through my works

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I came to LA because I love art, and I’ve been staying here for 7 years to experience various and unique art. Among them, the Art District has many unique and inspiring places, such as street exhibitions where you can meet various artists up close. If you walk around here, you’ll see great murals without getting bored, and there are many things to enjoy, such as delicious coffee and wine. That’s why I recommend the LA Downtown Art District.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am always grateful for the love and support from people around me. Among them, my fiancée gives me the most inspiration and stability, so I want to express my love and gratitude to her. I mainly draw people or animals that I love. Among them, I draw paintings that express condolences and longing for the dead. There are many emotions mixed in my paintings. I try to express the joy and sadness I feel with the people I love, and the condolences and longing for the departed. And I hope that through my paintings, you can feel the emotions of love that I felt and the emotions of condolences for the dead.
