Meet Justyn Eddins | Founder – MR Augmented

We had the good fortune of connecting with Justyn Eddins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justyn, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
There’s many variables behind anyone’s success, but if I had to pin point the most important factor for me it would be relentlessness. Though we’ve all seen and heard about failures in business before, it is impossible to truly understand that feeling without experiencing it yourself. The reality is, every successful business is built on many wins, but also many failures. It is essential to be relentless despite in the face of those failures and say to yourself, “you know what, it’s time get up and go at it again!” I can tell you from experience that level of relentlessness can make you go a bit crazy at times. That being said it is absolutely critical because if you let any failure be the last one, you will never succeed.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
MR Augmented is the is the future of mass-market Augmented Reality; leading communities, consumers, and companies into Web3. We’re the #1 AR app that brings the digital to daily life in the palm of your hand (and soon glasses and lenses).

I’ve been on this journey for 7 years and yet I am just at the beginning. I used to tell my friends and family ,”the future is AR” and they would laugh and say I was crazy. I didn’t come from a traditional tech background, and there weren’t any engineers in my family or friend group, so I’m self taught. Everything i’ve learned has been through trial and error. And there were many errors, but I kept learning and building anyways. What can I say, I love the space – no I’m obsessed with it. There’s a burning desire in me that drives me to research every project, know every company, and simply digest as much as possible about augmented reality. Fast forward to today and I have a seat at the table with some of the biggest tech companies and leaders in the AR space and I could not be more grateful for it. I can’t wait to show the world what I’m building. I’ll leave you with this: you can truly create anything you dream of. Although the journey may be difficult, never give up. You’ll be faced with so many obstacles and distractions. These are simply testing if you really want what you’re reaching for. Never compare your situation with others. Your journey is your own and that’s what makes you unique. Remember your idea is your idea so don’t just talk about it, be about it! Put things in motion and don’t hesitate. The world isn’t waiting. Why should you?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Alright so even though I am a bit of a tech nerd, I love exploring new spots and trying new places.

1) Malibu – The Country Mart, The Farm, Geoffrey’s if you want something nice.

2.) DTLA – just walk around the Art’s District and see what calls to you. So much creativity there.

3.) The Valley – don’t sleep on the 818 aka the Valley. Go hiking at Fryman, way less crowded that runyon. Get some Sushi Dan while you’re in the area.
