We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamiyada+ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kamiyada+, how do you think about risk?
Risks are just keys that unlock the doors to growth. If you’re afraid to fail you’re essentially afraid of living because it’s all apart of life.

I wouldn’t have accomplished anything without stepping forward at times when I couldn’t see what was in front of me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Im following in the footsteps of my punk rock ancestors and the great writers who were opening doors for my kind even before I existed.

I love alternative rock, I love hip hop and Im just doing what I can to bridge the gap between the two and cultivate a lane in those genres for people like me.

It’s absolutely never easy but it’s addicting.

I learned along the way that trusting your gut is key, and staying true to self keeps you golden. There’s many distractions on the journey and it’s easy to stray off path

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the blue room, very 70s and cozy there, great place to take someone you like

The drinks and bartenders are always nice.

4100 bar in silverlake is nice for catching up and the drinks are cheap

Then you have The Veil which might be my favorite. Small goth bar that’s never too crowded and the vibe is sick.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout those of you who listen and appreciate what I have to offer. Anyone who connects to what I have to say is the reason I know that anything I do can be everything to someone else.
