We had the good fortune of connecting with Katy Lopes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katy, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Halu was born from a spiritual awakening that ignited a burning desire within me to unlock the beauty of self-exploration. Our company is more than just a team – we’re a unified force dedicated to honoring the rights of every living being. We believe that by leading a life of generosity and balance, we empower a community to thrive.

Our mission? To pay that love and gratitude forward by designing products that give back and do so with ease and purpose. Each product we create is set to accomplish a unique and attainable charitable goal. By purchasing from Halu, you become an integral part of a movement that is making an impact in the world – not just a transaction. And also learning and nurturing our knowledge if we grow inside and make an impact outside our lives. Thats what we believe.

Halu Crystal Reiki was envisioned to take this energy a step further. We hypothesize that when these gems are accumulated, we can harvest an exponential impact because, at our core, we all come from the same place; we are all one.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The plan for Halu occurred to me in meditation. After I completed Reiki 3, I always loved accessories especially jewelries and I admired crystals since I was a little girl/

Stones it was then that the thothought of joining necklace with raw crystals got up because I knew after having studied that the natural stone has much more rich power from the soil than the substitutes, it was then that I started with limited chokers with crystals, in which I wore, and many people asked where I bought it, and then I started selling, with limited parts in stock. I made partnerships with independent women who were on the same journey as me so that it was brick and brick by being born Halu. About 1 year later, I completed the Reiki Master in Brazil, and it was there that I became even stronger that I needed to take this view and bring it to the United States where I lived. That’s when my family joined in, they could visualize that through my experience of evolution as a person who Reiki, crystals and holistic accessories helped me on my quest, they could serve many others and undertake because we believe that energy is movement. And donating to organizations is something that has always motivated me. Since I was a little girl I have accompanied my parents on campaigns to support foster kids, older adults and the homeless. In 2005, the non-governmental organization SH11 was founded, where we do ludic educational work to teach kids and adults about illicit drugs and their harm, as we saw drug use abused that most children affected or abandoned in Brazil. So making conscious products that are reused and given back to the community or our planet is our mission.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would probably take anyone I know and care about to Mt Shasta, CA, which is not only a beautiful place by its nature but also a huge, if not one, of the most essential spiritual portals of our planet. Over there, you can visit the secret vortex sites, crystal local shops, and have amazing organic food from the locals.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family deserves a big part and recognition. Without their support, this company couldn’t exist.
