Meet Kedrin Johnson | CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kedrin Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kedrin, how does your business help the community?
WAYS has been in business since 2016. We stand on the belief in employment and empowerment. WAYS recently purchased a building where we will soon be housing, employing, and educating women between the age of 18-24. This 10-month program is set to begin in June 2021. These women will be educated on their credit, and receive certifications in billing/coding, e-commerce, Certified Nursing Assistant training, and a host of other classes. They will be fully employed by WAYS and housing at our facility. Absolutely free. That’s how WAYS is helping to change the world.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting a Home Care busy is not easy. Especially when you build it from the ground up. It definitely takes a special kind of person. One who is full of caring and compassion. I would have to say that one of my challenges is keeping my staff motivated. It has been times where I felt like quitting but because I’m a leader I have to lead so Quitting is never an option. In 2017 our building caught fire, it was a Thursday and I just remember looking at the building on fire thinking “I’ve come too far to come this far” and right then I start making executive decisions. That following Monday my staff and I were right back at it. We didn’t miss a beat. We worked in that garage for 18 months and were presented an opportunity to purchase an 8000 sq. ft. building. Which is now the WAYS INC Building, Head Quarters to WAYS Home Care and Health Agency, WAYS Compliance Center, WAYS (Why Are You Struggling) Financial Rehabilitation Center, and coming soon the Gloria Marigny CNA School ( a tribute to my grandmother).

WAYS is a Big Deal!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Of course, we would visit the WAYS Inc Building where I would prepare a delicious Salad for my guest as I am a great host.

And since my best friend is a businesswoman herself our dialog would be amazing. The WAYS Inc Building is 2 blocks from the new design So-Fi Statium with unlimited things to do there, such as shopping and snacking. We might even be able to catch a game other at the stadium or at one of the bars in the area.

Best friend of course knows the family so we would definitely do some drop-ins with the family.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes. My husband Mr. Paul Johnson. He has been my backbone and has supported me from the start.
