We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelsee Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelsee, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Being creative is what genuinely makes me happy—I love that there’s no one “right” way to do it. Every project starts with this wide open space full of possibilities, and that freedom is where I thrive. I get excited about the little things: tossing around ideas, building out mood boards on Pinterest, and finding the best way to bring a concept to life. And that moment when it all comes together—when the shot matches the vision in your head? Chef’s kiss.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My creative work lives through Off Guard Digitals, my digital agency that blends photography and social media marketing in a way that feels intentional and story-driven. I offer photography services like behind the scenes coverage, event photography, and portraits, but I also provide social media marketing and strategy that’s rooted in visuals and storytelling. My eye for detail doesn’t just live behind the camera.
I took a risk to be where I am at right now and I don’t regret it. I had quit my 9-5 and fully invested my time and energy into my business. There were moments of self-doubt, burnout, and learning everything the hard way—but all of that taught me how to be resourceful and real. Throughout this journey, I’ve learned that consistency is louder than perfection, and that a community will always take you further.
What I want the world to know about me and Off Guard Digitals is that this brand is about more than just content. It is about helping brands show up authentically, visually telling their story, and growing with intention.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in LA for a week, it’d be all about good food, good vibes, and a little bit of adventure. I’d check @blkeventsla on Instagram for the week’s best parties and activities, then hit my go-to spots: Pann’s for breakfast, Leo’s Taco Truck for late-night tacos, The Kettle in Manhattan Beach, Fiesta Martin, Chili’s (yes, Chili’s), and Johnnie’s Pastrami—followed by a sweet stop at Fleurs et Sel. If it’s summer, we’re sipping wine at Barnsdall Art Park on Friday, spending a day at Manhattan or Redondo Beach, catching dinner and a movie at Cinépolis, and ending the week with game night. Simple: great people, great food, and a little bit of the unexpected makes for the perfect week.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
She’s is someone who leads by example and genuinely pours into the people around her. As a business owner of multiple successful companies, she’s shown me what it really looks like to move with purpose and build with intention. Chaka has given me opportunities that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow both creatively and professionally. Whether it’s advice, encouragement, or a chance to be in the room, she always shows up—and that kind of support has made a huge impact on my journey.
