We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerstin Schulze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kerstin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I worked in the Cooperate World for over 10 years and left a position as Marketing Director for AOL. I decided that I wanted to live and work in my passion, which was fitness and health. I wanted to be my own boss and took action by getting all necessary education, certifications and experience before I opened my own personal gym in Manhattan Beach.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Over 24 years ago, I founded Party and Diet – Elite Personal Training, an innovative fitness company that specializes in short, effective workouts tailored to busy professionals, A-list actors, and even pro athletes. My holistic, longevity-focused approach prioritizes sustainable health and wellness—an ethos that resonates deeply with women navigating the physical and emotional changes of midlife.
Now in my early 50s, I bring a deeply personal perspective to the conversation around midlife transformations. As a perimenopausal woman and seasoned fitness expert, I understand the challenges of maintaining vitality, strength, and balance during this transitional stage of life. Through my work, I empower women and men to embrace midlife with confidence, focusing on strategies that blend wellness, mindfulness, and self-compassion. It is never to late to start a successful health and fitness transformation.

Originally from Germany, my journey from competitive athletics to the stage and screen is a testament to my discipline and passion for storytelling. After formal theater training and earning a business degree, I set my sights on Hollywood, where I had carved out an impressive career across drama, comedy, and action-packed roles.
My latest and proudest role is currently in the season of the HBO hit The Righteous Gemstones with which I add to an already stellar resume that includes American Horror Story: Roanoke (directed by Angela Bassett), Flaked (opposite Will Arnett), and the family feature Rescue Dogs. Known for my ability to seamlessly shift between genres, I have shared the screen with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Tina Fey, John Goodman, Amy Schumer, and Kathy Bates. My sharp comedic timing and fearless approach to complex roles make me a sought-after talent in television and film.

I have always believed in taking action by seeking out mentors that can teach me, be it in fitness or acting. Surrounded myself with family and friends that were supporting my dreams and motivating me to keep going when it seemed impossible.

The biggest lesson I have learned along my journey is that the biggest personal growth and success in my business happened when I was the most uncomfortable, the Imposter Syndrome stage. All it meant is that I am leveling up. It is magical.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Starting Monday with a beautiful hike through the Trail Canyon Falls or Sturtevant Falls. I love a good hike with a waterfall or river stream. Stop at the Inn of the Seventh Ray Restaurant in Topanga, CA.
Tuesday going down to the South Beach Bike Path and going for a beautiful bike ride from South Redondo Beach all the way to El Porto and back. Stop at the Redondo Beach Pier for a fun late Lunch.
Wednesday meet with Friends for a fun lunch at the Strandhouse in Manhattan Beach and a Night of laughs at The Groundlings in LA.
Thursday Workout at the Manhattan Beach Stairs and a walk to Hermosa Pier for the best Expresso Martinis at Vista.
Friday Workout with at the Beach with Party and Diets Programs and a fun Night dancing and Life Music at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach.
Saturday Morning surf fun in Manhattan Beach or if the time allows in Malibu on Sunset and then head to Paradise Cove.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are to many, it truly takes a village of good friends that speak kindness and strength to you when it gets hard. I dedicate most of my success to my children and sister who have always supported my dream to be an entrepreneur. I am a woman of Action and the theory by Mel Robbin’s 5,4,3,2,1 really stuck with me.
