We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Stenersen Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
This is a great question because I’ve always wanted to learn new skills, and develop myself so that I could better serve others, but the meaningful work and meaningful relationships I’ve built along the way are now my #1 driving force for choosing everyday to joyfully serve others.
To be ultra specific, my thought process was that by spearheading a supportive community of likeminded agents and formulating a proven plan for agents who just need a bit of hand holding with technology–we could all test proven marketing principles in our lives and businesses and learn from each other in ways that also create and cultivate better client experiences. For this reason, being in real estate, and developing the Agent Online Marketer university certificate program to help other agent’s master using technology, was really a vehicle for me, my team, and other agents in the community to grow and develop further, and then help others do the exact same thing.
When I got started, my aim was to give myself the roadmap, by testing and discovering the critical skills and systems that really work and then synthesizing it into a certificate program and online marketing professional designation so that I could give others a practical, proven plan and method to maximize the odds of their success. It is because real estate as an industry has such a high rate of people dropping off, or giving up early, that I wanted to work with, and speak directly to any Agents in the Southern California Market that wanted to get the “handholding” and community they needed to virtually guarantee their foundation is set up success instead of failure with the right guidance on setting up their online marketing toolkit and their practical daily key activities to make it happen–no matter what company they are at, what CRM they are using or given, or what their existing broker specific training already provides.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fat Sal’s Sandwiches is one of my favorite places in all of LA, if I had to recommend a sandwich shop for a travel wary friend, it would definitely be them. Also going to see the Broad, or visiting the lookout area from the LA observatory is a magical experience that no one visiting LA should pass up. The rest of the time, say you HAVE to check out The Original Farmers Market, and I’d probably explore popular malls designed by Robert Caruso like the Grove or the Americana, get donuts from Sidecar, and grab a few boutique cakes from Cake Monkey Bakery on Beverly Blvd next to CBS studios.
I’d tell my visiting friend that most importantly they should just have an open mind, and search for something in LA that resonates with them, because LA has so much wonderful food and culture to offer anyone visiting for the first time. Between the Malibu Beaches, to breathtaking views from various rooftop bars, your imagination is really your limit when it comes to deciding how you’d like to explore LA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many wonderful people to thank for giving me incredible support, mentorship, guidance, and encouragement along the way. Steve Haddadin, my broker deserves a special thanks, because if I had not met Steve back in 2017, I do not know if I’d be the man I am today, especially because he initially introduced me to the Real Estate Association at California State University, Fullerton and invited me to attend his Las Vegas trip he put together for CSUF to the annual real estate convention before I’d eventually apply and become a student there. Now, CSUF is like a second home to me, and where I’ve developed even more meaningful work relationships, as well as personal relationships so I’d like to give credit where credit is due.
Additionally, I’d like to give a special mention to another agent and Hollywood action mogul, Kevin Kent, who has pioneered a new niche of marketing luxury properties in Southern California with “Digital Open Houses” for properties he’s sold in the 750k to 25M range – he has inspired me to further engineer the the Open House Webinar® to help other agents achieve similar results in a webinar format in the Agent Online Marketer® program!
