We had the good fortune of connecting with Khristian Hibler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khristian, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Growing up I was really into skincare and cosmetic products. In result I would sometimes experience breakouts, rashes, and occasionally waste my time because the product didn’t work. I saw this with family friends as well. So I decided to make natural products for myself and those who asked, “what can I use to “fix” what is going with my skin” or if they had a certain skin condition. As I studied more about holistic health, I really liked the idea of using herbs as medicine. I figured out how to incorporate the herbs into my products thru oil infusion. Once I infused a oil with herbs I could make soaps, body oils, and bath salts. Now my products have healing properties without chemicals and preservatives. Everything is made fresh with quality organic ingredients and sold right after.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I started studying holistic health I quickly realized that a lot of the foods and products we are consuming aren’t telling us the truth. They get away with putting bad ingredients likes synthetics and preservatives in our products and food. They advertise a certain ingredient and there’s actually less than 1% in the product. And it’s because the consumers lack the knowledge. I do this to inform and to educate my clients and customers on what their body doesn’t need and what it does. Everyone’s body is different, in holistic health you are able to customize your remedies to fit you. I went thru being bullied because of my acne or because I had bumps on my arms. It affected my self esteem and how I went thru my day. I don’t want anyone to feel that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to give back to my community. I am currently in the Orange County area and right next to the beach. We have tons of farmers markets and festivals that highlight business owners, restaurants, artist and creators in the area. I have a fur baby so it helps that they are pet friendly. I also like to visit local brewery’s. They have areas where you can relax with friends, order food, and drink beer! Overall good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think I was truly lucky to have two people always there in my corner. My father inspired me to start my own business. I saw what he was trying to do when I was younger. He was trying to build family wealth by starting a business within the family. I think when he saw that I was also trying to obtain that goal he helped financially, because that’s the foundation he needed back then. Thank you for inspiring and supporting me.

My second life line is my life partner. He gave me support, advice, free labor, was a silent investor, and feed me. Living with someone who quit their job to start a business isn’t easy and can become unfair. He sees my goal and my hard work and he understands. And I thank him for that.

And of course to my family and friends who come and support me at my festivals and on social media. I am forever grateful.
