Meet Kira Buckley | Integrative Medicine Practitioner; Ceremonialist & Oracle

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kira Buckley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kira, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My name is Kira, and I have embraced a life of harmony over the elusive quest for balance.
For over a decade, my journey in entrepreneurship has taught me that life’s seasons are rarely balanced. Instead of striving for an equal measure of work, motherhood, clients, travel, and self-care, I’ve learned to seek harmony. A wise mentor once told me: ‘Harmony allows for flexibility and the seamless integration of life’s various facets.’
Rather than aiming for a perfect 50/50 split between work and rest, I’ve found peace in harmonizing the diverse elements of my life. This approach allows everything to blend effortlessly, creating a more fulfilling and holistic experience.
In this journey, I’ve discovered that true fulfillment lies not in balancing scales, but in embracing the ebb and flow, finding synergy and joy in every moment.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Since my introduction into this world, I believe I was groomed to accept the path of doing service for the greater good of humanity. I was born into a lineage of teachers, spiritual and academic, & creative renaissance men and women; as a 7th generation ordained minister and preacher’s kid. Over the last 15 years, I witnessed the highs and lows of choosing a lifestyle that looks and feels drastically different from the embedded traditions I was raised in. I can genuinely say I have expanded my capacity for rest and joy to be greater than my need to hold on to trauma stories. I am most proud of how I chose to shift the generational paradigm for my daughters. Today, I live between two homes, one being international, and I love the life I have been gifted as a Medicine Woman, Ceremonialist, Writer, Spiritual Doula & Oracle.
My journey is deeply rooted in ancient wisdom and sacred practices, blending over 12 years of professional and clinical expertise. Specializing in integrative medicine, clinical herbalism, and sacred somatic movement, I bring healing on a cellular level through modalities like yoga nidra, writing, acupuncture, cupping, sacred somatic activation, herbal energetics, Kemetic fire breathing, intuitive readings, Human Design, and orgasmic living.
My passion lies in creating meaningful ceremonies for life’s transitions— by listening, reflecting, and imagining with individuals, I help you celebrate, grieve, release, and process these moments.
The world should know that my work is about honoring and embracing life’s constant cycles of birth, life, death, and rebirth. My Divine assignment is to cultivate spaces where profound healing and transformation can occur, guiding you to find harmony within the sacred transitions of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I live for planning a sweet itinerary for anyone traveling anywhere! As a retreat facilitator, this is a love language for me.
I like to craft an unforgettable week-long itinerary highlighting the best of our area, blending rest, adventure, and culinary delights. Here’s how it would go:
If my best friend were visiting, I’d create an unforgettable week-long itinerary that blends relaxation, adventure, cultural exploration, and culinary delights. We’d start with breakfast at Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen on Slauson, known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious food. We’d hike the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, enjoying its breathtaking views, and have dinner at Sunday Gravy for comforting Italian-American cuisine. A yoga nidra session at home would rejuvenate us before exploring Malibu’s Solstice Canyon for a private devotion amidst serene hiking trails and waterfalls. Dinner would be at Mama Shelter in Hollywood, famous for its rooftop views. We’d spend a day at Playa del Rey Beach, with lunch at Playa Provisions and dinner at Bacari PDR. Topanga Canyon offers a spiritual and unique shopping experience with meditation at Topanga Rocks and dinner at Cafe on 27. We’d brunch at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe, visit Point Dume for coastal views, and explore Leimert Park to immerse in local art, music, and community spirit, ending with dinner at Stevie’s Creole Cafe for authentic Creole cuisine or My 2 cents.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, I’d love to give a heartfelt shoutout to Tracee Stanley and her transformative book, Radiant Rest.
Tracee’s wisdom and teachings have been a guiding light on my journey, especially as I navigated the path of rebranding and deepening my relationship with rest. Her insights have helped me not only to embrace rest as a vital part of my life but also to understand its profound importance in serving and holding space for others.
This book, Radiant Rest, has inspired me to fall in love with the concept of rest, recognizing it as a sacred practice that rejuvenates and empowers us. This shift has been instrumental in allowing me to support my community and clients with more presence and authenticity, both locally and abroad.
Tracee Stanley’s work has truly been a beacon, guiding me toward a more harmonious and fulfilling life, and I am deeply grateful for her influence.
