Meet Kohdi Rayne | Sobriety Master Coach & Recovery Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kohdi Rayne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kohdi, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Success, to me, comes down to the dedication to daily rituals and practices that support my mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. It’s not about luck, or even talent – it’s about consistency, discipline, and commitment to growth.
Waking up early, between four and six in the morning, starts my day off with a sense of accomplishment. This discipline gives me the space to nourish my body with the right supplements and nutrients from my protein shake, creating a strong foundation for the rest of the day.
Meditation, for me, is non-negotiable. I meditate for an hour within the first 15 minutes of waking up. This practice helps me to center myself, clear my mind, and prepare for the day ahead. It’s a habit that fosters mental clarity and resilience.
Then, I dive into my work, focusing on being of service to others. I spend a good portion of my day creating content and consulting one-on-one, helping people transform their lives. This is not just a job, but a passion and a calling, and the fulfillment I derive from it fuels my own personal growth and success.
My commitment to physical fitness also plays a crucial role. Hitting the gym for a couple of hours each day not only enhances my physical health but also benefits my mental health. The discipline and determination I’ve developed through my love for calisthenics and breakdancing translate into other areas of my life as well.
Most importantly, my mindset towards problems and challenges has been instrumental in my success. Rather than focusing on the problem itself, I focus on understanding the root cause and then create a safe space for people to unpack who they are so we can help them become more of who they want to be.
Overall, the habits that have contributed to my success are discipline, consistency, mindfulness, physical fitness, a service-oriented mindset, and a problem-solving attitude. By aligning my actions with these habits daily, I have been able to create a life that not only I am proud of but also serves as a beacon of hope and transformation for others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In essence, my work is about empowering people to transform their lives through sobriety and recovery. I’ve built platforms, courses, and programs designed to help people not just to stop drinking or using substances, but to truly recover and create lives they love living.
What sets my approach apart from others is the emphasis on the individual’s wholeness, not just their addiction. I don’t see people as broken or sick. I see them as people who are temporarily lost, seeking a path to their best selves. My programs are focused not only on sobriety but also on recovery, the process of healing and becoming someone greater than you ever thought imaginable.
What I am most proud of is the impact of my work. The success stories from people who have followed my programs and transformed their lives are, without a doubt, my greatest achievements. The ability to reach out to people in their darkest moments and guide them to a place of strength, health, and happiness is incredibly fulfilling.
My journey to where I am now wasn’t easy, by any means. I’ve experienced personal challenges, such as my own struggle with substance abuse and a near-death experience from liver failure, that brought me to the brink. But these experiences have also made me stronger, more resilient, and more passionate about helping others. The challenges were tough, but they’ve also given me a unique perspective and empathy that’s invaluable in my work.
One major lesson I’ve learned along the way is that recovery isn’t just about removing the substance; it’s about building a life where the substance is no longer needed. It’s about providing people with the tools and strategies to create a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment, a life where they can manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors effectively, regardless of the challenges they face.
As for my brand and story, I want the world to know that I am a testament to transformation, a beacon of hope in the darkness. I’ve been where you might be now, I’ve walked that rocky road, and I’ve found a way out. I believe that everyone is capable of changing their life if they are given the right tools, support, and guidance. My mission is to provide those tools and to inspire people to take that first step toward the life they’ve always wanted.
Lastly, the message I want to impart is that it’s never too late to change. No matter how deep you’ve fallen, there’s always a way back up. It might not be easy, but it’s definitely possible. With the right mindset, determination, and support, you can overcome anything and create a life you’re truly proud of.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want them to fully experience the rich culture, lively music scene, and beautiful landscapes of Nashville, Tennessee. Here’s a little taste of what I’d plan:
Day 1: We’d kick things off with breakfast at a local favorite, The Pancake Pantry. It’s a Nashville institution known for its diverse selection of homemade pancakes. From there, we’d head over to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to immerse ourselves in Nashville’s legendary music history. The evening would be dedicated to exploring the vibrant honky-tonks on Broadway, where live music spills out onto the streets from the early afternoon until the early morning hours.
Day 2: This day would be all about the outdoors. We’d grab a quick bite and then head out for a hike at Percy Warner Park, enjoying the lush greenery and picturesque views. Afterward, we’d visit Radnor Lake State Park for some wildlife spotting. In the evening, we would dine at the Loveless Café for some classic Southern comfort food.
Day 3: No visit to Nashville would be complete without exploring the historic Ryman Auditorium, also known as the “Mother Church of Country Music”. We’d take a guided tour there, then head over to the Johnny Cash Museum. Dinner would be at Husk, where the menu showcases the unique ingredients of the South.
Day 4: Today, we’d take a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Nashville’s countryside, blasting our favorite music and marveling at the beautiful homes and landscapes. For dinner, we’d head to The Stillery for their amazing brick oven pizza.
Day 5: It’s time for a leisurely day around the hip East Nashville area. We’d check out local shops, cafes, and art galleries, and have lunch at Five Points Pizza. In the evening, we’d go to a show at the iconic Grand Ole Opry.
Day 6: This would be a day for water activities. We’d visit one of Nashville’s many lakes or rivers, maybe rent a paddleboard or kayak, and spend the day soaking up the sun and enjoying the water. Dinner would be at Rolf and Daughters, a trendy spot known for its creative cuisine.
Day 7: On the final day, we’d visit the Parthenon in Centennial Park, a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece. We’d enjoy a picnic in the park, reminiscing about the week’s adventures. In the evening, we’d have a farewell dinner at Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, enjoying their famous slow-smoked BBQ.
In my view, Nashville is a blend of rich history, soulful music, delectable cuisine, and stunning landscapes. From the pulsing beats of Broadway to the serenity of its parks and rivers, Nashville is a city that has something to offer everyone. I’m sure any visitor would fall in love with its charm, just as I have.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I want to give a shoutout to Gary Vaynerchuk. His philosophy of working hard, giving value, and remaining patient has significantly impacted my approach to business and life. He is not just a successful entrepreneur, but a mentor and role model whose practical advice and energy have inspired and pushed me to strive for excellence, both professionally and personally. He was there in my ear after surviving liver failure and was the drive that kept me going.
Secondly, Frank Kern deserves recognition. His prowess in the field of online marketing and sales psychology has been instrumental in shaping my strategies. Kern’s teachings helped me see the power of authenticity in marketing and how it can build genuine connections with an audience, which has been a critical aspect in the growth of my online presence. He taught me that it’s not about what you offer, it’s about attracting the people most likely to benefit from who you are. Understanding this has helped me achieve nearly 700,000 followers on social media.
Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude to Sam Ovens. Sam’s groundbreaking work on consulting and business systematization fundamentally changed my perspective on coaching. His methodology encouraged me to focus on delivering real, tangible value to my clients and helped me develop the robust digital programs that I have today.
These individuals have had an immense impact on my journey, not just by providing practical strategies and knowledge, but also by demonstrating what it means to be dedicated, resilient, and unapologetically authentic. I want to acknowledge their role in my story and express my gratitude for their insight and encouragement. They’ve made a remarkable contribution to who I am today and the work I do to help others.
