We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristel Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristel, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, for me, it was never about my own business. I see it as a calling from God to adventure on this journey of creating a personal space for women. I always knew in my heart that I was built for more than I was accepting and this is how I started Can’t Break Me Retreats.
I felt that God was calling me to build an “ark”, where I can encourage women to let go of everything and everyone not aligned in God’s purpose for their life.
Slowly my ministry came to life, by just listening to God’s voice.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I don’t see Can’t Break Me Retreat as a business, I see it as a ministry. This safe space was born to help women find peace, strength, and purpose. Is about empowerment through knowledge of who we are in God, and every day I’m excited to see God at work, opening doors and opportunities for more women to be blessed with this experience.

Certainly, the journey hasn’t been easy, creating a traveling ministry in the middle of a pandemic can be seen as a terrible idea, but my faith in God keep my going and today I’m very happy to be hosting these retreats and help other beautiful women find light in the darkness.

I believe that every challenge is an opportunity to increase our faith. We should embrace challenges as a way to build our character and refine who we are. Challenges cannot break us if we use them as a way to turn them into power.

One of my biggest lessons learned along the way is to “Go for it” it doesn’t matter what others think about you, or what others are doing if they support you or not. As long as you have the assurance from God, and the self-empowerment to believe in yourself, you can set the world on fire!

I just want to be seen as a woman on a mission, and that mission is to empower women worldwide to recognize their worth by embracing who God created us to be.

I am an advocate of purpose, resilience, self-love, empowerment but most importantly of God’s unconditional love.

We can never claim our blessings until we let go of our burdens and Can’t Break Me Retreat is the place where this journey of acknowledgment begins.

I’m dedicated to helping women use their truth to empower others and empower themselves. When we realize all the challenges we have overcome and still have the courage to stand up and keep pushing forward, we become resilient, and our lives have a purpose. We don´t allow our circumstances to reduce us, instead, we rise to the occasion. And we are unbreakable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Costa Rica is a beautiful country, and with that said there’s so much to see.

I would take my friend to see the amazing nature we have, volcanos, rainforests, beaches.
We would start in San Jose, getting to see our local culture and ordinary life.

Then we will immerse in our natural wonders like the Poas Volcano, and nearby waterfalls, we will also visit the spectacular Arenal volcano.

We will also visit some of our beaches on the pacific side, like Flamingo, Sugar beach, Conchal.
The Caribbean side is also on my list to explore and get around some reggae sounds and exquisite cuisine.

Love to visit some local markets and typical restaurants to try our famous “picadillo’s”.

Costa Rica in its richness has a lot to offer, is a beautiful country with wonderful people.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I would like to say that all credit, all glory, and all honor goes to God.

He showered me with his grace and mercy and lead me to this moment right here that I call Fullfilment.
There is nothing more empowering than to live a purposeful life.

And if I have to give an extra shoutout I would like to say Thank You to everyone involved in this process, everyone who has opened their doors to support me, those who help me with encouragement, kind words, ideas, love, etc.
