We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Beierle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew I wanted to create a one stop shop for wellness in the community. Understanding that growth would take time, I planned to take on a DIY approach until I was able to outsource specific tasks and responsibilities in order to let the business grow organically.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Working for yourself if not easy. Sometimes staying motivated is the hardest part of keeping momentum in business. Having the tenacity to carry on in the face of all the challenges and changes that life hands you over time is the greatest skill you can have in business. Learning how to think outside of the box, collaborate with other businesses, and find a support network of other professionals is very helpful when faced with changes and challenges. We’ve learned to go with the flow and try to meet the wants and needs of our clients (within the parameters of our policies and principles). We also learned to boost the individual skills of our team members so that we can in-source tasks. Life will continuously change and your business should too, but while staying true to its roots.
We’ve always stuck to our roots as focused on health and wellness. Any therapy, technique, or practitioner that we invite into our practice is aligned with our ethic and philosophy. We value continued education and stay on top of the most current best practices for all that we do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having small kids, we stick to the fun stuff!
DAY 1: go north! take the surfliner up to santa barbara to visit the moxi and have a meal in any of the amazing places on the pier. Train back to camarillo station for dinner at Twisted Oak Tavern in camarillo.

Day 2: go south! check out the Natural History Museum, LaBrea Tar Pits/LACMA, or Huntington Gardens. Find a cool spot for a delicious meal for parents in a kid friendly spot in LA.

Day 3: stay local! take a Lagree class at BodyRestoration. breakfast at the waffle experience. visit Gardens of the World. Dinner at Moody Rooster, then check out Naughty Pine if we can get a babysitter.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could not have started my business without the support of my parents. Without their co-sign, I would not have qualified for the necessary loans needed to launch my business. As my business has grown and life has changed around us, my parents, and now my husband and my own children continue to support me in all ways possible so that I can be my best self at work. Working with a supportive organization in my field also helped. I did significant continuing education through ICPA and our state chiropractic organization as well.
