We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Beizerman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristin, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One of the biggest misconceptions about the health and fitness industry is the idea that success comes from simply eating less and working out more. I used to believe that too. I pushed myself with intense workouts and tried to eat as little as possible, thinking that was the only way to lose weight. But all it really did was leave me frustrated. It didn’t feel sustainable AND it also didn’t work. In fact, it did the opposite. It messed with my metabolism and mindset and left me feeling stuck without a solution.

What people may. not realize is that the key is finding a lifestyle that actually works with our bodies, not against them. It’s not about deprivation, it’s about learning how to fuel our bodies properly and workout more efficiently and strategically. Once I finally made that switch for myself, that’s when everything changed. I lost weight and changed my body composition, but more importantly, I felt stronger, more energized and empowered. And now I’m passionate about helping others do the same!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My purpose in doing this work is to help midlife women get out of the constant and frustrating diet cycle and learn a sustainable healthy lifestyle! I aim to help them repair their metabolisms after years of yo yo dieting. I want to share all I’ve learned so they can get unstuck and feel more confident. I’m a certified FASTer Way to Fat Loss coach and what sets this program apart is that I don’t just teach my clients the program and send them on their way. I provide continued support to them. I help customize the plan to work within their specific lifestyles for the long term, even as life changes and throws them curveballs. It’s about creating habits, but also having the flexibility and freedom to live their lives with a sense if empowerment – a freedom from endless diets and deprivation. This is not a quick fix – I help my clients excel long term.

What I am most proud about is that this is not just something I preach, but I practice this lifestyle everyday and I truly believe in it. When I found this program as a client, it truly changed my life. I lost weight and felt stronger and more energized than ever. Best of all, I finally felt freedom knowing I never had to chase another fad diet again! I never planned to become a coach, I figured I’d just be a lifetime client, but I decided to get certified because I wanted to share this solution that I had finally found with as many people as possible. I wanted to teach people that a healthy sustainable lifestyle is not about working harder and longer but working smarter and that deprivation is not a long term solution.

It hasn’t always been easy. I had doubts about being an entrepreneur, and I definitely had reservations about social media. But what has kept me going was focusing on my goal to help women like me and to help them get “unstuck” from the vicious diet cycle. I want to help them get rid of their frustrations and find a way forward like I did. I focused on helping one person at a time and that has kept me going. Hearing client successes pushes me forward and makes me want to continue this important work.

If there is one thing I want the world to know about my brand and story is this: You don’t have to give up when what has worked for you in the past no longer works. You don’t have just throw your hands up and chalk it up to age or hormones. You CAN reshape your body and feel amazing, and confident at any age. You can enjoy your favorite things while also getting great results at the same time. You can feel stronger and and more confident than ever in your clothes. And also that you shouldn’t feel like you have to do it alone. Support and community can make all the difference for long term success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting me for a week, of course, we’d start our days with a 30 min FASTer Way workout. These workouts are efficient but incredibly effective and they wouldn’t take up too much of our visiting time. A few days, we’d follow that by taking walks on the beach in Hermosa Beach in the morning, which is my favorite time down there before it gets crowded! There is nothing like the peaceful setting of the sand and ocean to start off the day. One day, we’d grab lunch at Mickey’s Deli ( I love their Chicken Avocado salad) and sit on the beach and catch up! If we were lucky, we may see some pods of dolphins playing in the water! Another day, we’d grab the sushi lunch special at Miyoda restaurant and then head to one of the local farmers markets to get some fresh produce. We’d also want to spend a Sunday evening at Concerts in the Park at Polliwog Park. We’d enjoy dancing and grazing picnic style! We’d wrap up the week with a special dinner at Dominique’s Kitchen, followed by some live music at The Lighthouse or Sainte Rocke. In general, we’d spend a lot of time outside since the South Bay has so much to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my family! To my husband and sons for supporting me on this journey. For dealing with my daily workouts in the living room and fitness challenges, as well as being my photographers and videographers without complaining. For listening to me talk on and on about macronutrients and strength training without rolling their eyes! For their belief in me and their unconditional support. Oh and also for being my guinea pigs and eating all my new recipes and experiments in cooking. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to my brother for his endless support and for spending tons of time helping me create content, film reel footage and for being my tech support always! Having them all support me and believe in me means the world to me!
