Meet Kristina McInnis | Ceo of kcmconnect pr and marketing agency

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristina McInnis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristina, is there something you believe many others might not?
One piece of conventional advice in PR and marketing that I disagree with is the notion that “any publicity is good publicity.” While it’s true that garnering attention can sometimes be beneficial for brand visibility, not all publicity is inherently positive. Negative publicity or controversy can damage a brand’s reputation, erode trust among consumers, and even lead to long-term consequences such as loss of customers or business opportunities.
Instead, I believe in prioritizing strategic and authentic communication that aligns with a brand’s values and objectives. Quality over quantity is crucial in PR and marketing efforts. It’s essential to focus on building genuine connections with your audience, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining a consistent brand image. This approach ensures that the publicity generated serves to enhance the brand’s reputation and drive meaningful engagement, rather than risking potential harm.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets KCMCONNECT apart is our commitment to creating immersive and unforgettable experiences that resonate with our audience on a deep level. We pride ourselves on our ability to curate events that not only showcase exceptional brands but also foster genuine connections and moments of inspiration.
Our latest KCMCONNECT Swim Club event stands as a testament to this ethos. With 22 top-tier brands in attendance, alongside influencers, celebrities, and press from around the globe, it was a celebration of style, innovation, and creativity. We were thrilled to welcome over 200 attendees who immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere and experienced firsthand the magic of our carefully curated gifting suite.
Bringing this event to life was no easy feat, but it was a labor of love for our dedicated team. We encountered challenges along the way, from logistical hurdles to navigating the ever-changing landscape of event planning. However, we overcame these obstacles with resilience, creativity, and a shared vision of success.
One of the most important lessons we’ve learned on this journey is the power of collaboration and community. By partnering with like-minded brands, influencers, and industry experts, we’ve been able to amplify our reach and create experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Ultimately, we want the world to know that KCMCONNECT is more than just a personal relations company – we’re storytellers, experience creators, and champions of authenticity. Our events, campaigns, and initiatives are driven by a passion for connecting people, sparking conversation, and making a meaningful impact in the world of PR and marketing.
As we continue to evolve and grow, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and shaping the future of experiential marketing. With every event we host and every campaign we launch, we strive to inspire, delight, and leave a lasting impression on our audience.
