We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Portorreal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krystal, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most is important factor behind the success of my brand is authenticity. My brand is built around being confident in who I am, and not being afraid to show that to the world. I believe that everything we do as a brand is attracting the clients we want to work with. So, the more true I am to myself, the more magnetic my brand becomes to ideal clients (clients I want to work with). Authentic storytelling is the most powerful brand booster!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a creative design agency. We work with multi-passionate women to help them gain brand clarity and launch beautiful brands that captivate their audience, create impact, and generate next-level income. Our saying is “brand your brilliance”. Everyone has brilliance, it just has to be packaged for their ideal client!
Our connection with clients and deep level of strategy before design separates us from others. Our work for clients is not just about pretty or even technical design. It’s about the “why” for the client.
I am the most proud of the way we have been able to help other women shine! Seeing clients start to elevate is the best reward.
I got to where I am by not being afraid to fail. By doing things even when I was scared it wouldn’t work. Enthusiastic obedience!
It was not easy at all. I’ve overcome one failed business (an online boutique) that I lost thousands of dollars on. But Doing that business was how I found my love for web and graphic design, so there was a reason for it as well…it wasn’t really a failure. It was hard to start another biz after that, but again…I did it anyway. Making the “right now” move is the move!
I want the world to know that I am them. I am not doing anything anyone else can’t do! Everyone, no matter what you have been through in your life, has the capability to be a successful entrepreneur. Failures are lessons that we can use to turn into success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would tell them to hit Raw downtown Charleston, then go over to Folly beach to catch some rays. Then end the night at one if the many rooftop bars to enjoy the nice Carolina weather.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my husband, Lavob Portorreal for always fearlessly supporting my entrepreneurial moves! Thank you for always making me feel comfortable to be my authentic self.
