Hi Krystin, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I find my greatest inspiration in upholding the legacy of my ancestors and paving the way for future generations. I firmly believe in leaving a lasting impact, building generational wealth, and passing on my knowledge to others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It is my sole ambition to dominate the real estate industry being a force to be reckoned with in the residential and commercial sectors. What distinguishes me is my authentic determination to achieve success, which I define through fulfilling my private clients’ needs. As a licensed real estate salesperson aligned with seasoned industry experts, it is invaluable to absorb knowledge from the best in the field. My current position reflects my relentless drive to excel in real estate—a path not without challenges but one that adds to the gratification of reaching goals. Overcoming naysayers has been a significant hurdle, yet I remain focused on my objectives, like a winning thoroughbred with blinders, fixated on the ultimate prize.

Joining Douglas Elliman is a strategic move that aligns me with a company that has a proven track record, having stood the test of time including two pandemics and multiple recessions while having a global reach through our alliance with London-based firm, Knight Frank. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m delighted you raised this question because I’ve always been the go-to friend for great recommendations, a trait honed during my tenure as a luxury travel advisor. A few years back, a close friend relocated from New York City to LA for work, allowing me to showcase some of the city’s gems. In any city, but particularly in LA, culinary delights reign supreme. Allow me to share my top picks.

Kickstarting each day with a coffee from Alfred Coffee or a smoothie from SunLife Organics sets the perfect tone. And what’s a trip to Los Angeles without a beach visit? For tranquility, I can’t recommend Carbon Beach in Malibu enough.

Among my favorite eateries are charming local spots like Merkato Ethiopian Restaurant and Market in Little Ethiopia, Hollywood Thai in Thai Town, or Stevie’s Creole Cafe On Pico. And if luck is on our side, catching a show at The Hollywood Bowl or The Greek Theatre promises an unparalleled experience.

A day at Griffith Observatory or The Getty Villa Museum is a must for a touch of timelessness. Los Angeles truly offers a tapestry of experiences waiting to be explored.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The individual to whom I extend my shoutout is none other than my father, Steven Wills. I hail from a lineage deeply entrenched in entrepreneurship and real estate investment, with my paternal roots stretching back to the mid-1800s in Louisiana. Witnessing firsthand the enterprising spirit and pride of ownership among my ancestors, I inherited these values instilled in me by my father. Our family legacy in business has profoundly influenced my journey as a businesswoman today.

Specifically, my upbringing involved accompanying my father to open houses and touring model homes at construction sites, a ritual we embraced while searching for new family residences and investment opportunities. Additionally, I observed my father’s involvement in commercial real estate dealings, managing thirteen retail stores. Notably, my father’s influence and encouragement sparked my interest in entrepreneurship and real estate from a young age, leading me to undertake my first commercial real estate transaction as an adolescent.

My nearly two-year-old darling daughter, Maria deserves a bit of acknowledgment as she constantly inspires me to strive to be the best version of myself, knowing she’s observing my every move. I aspire for her to take pride in her mother and see me as her role model, believing she can achieve anything her heart desires. Lastly, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my manager, Stan Smith, and associate manager, Michelle Nissani, at Douglas Elliman for providing guidance as I plan out the trajectory of my career in real estate.
