Meet Kumar Sieunarine | Singer/Entertainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kumar Sieunarine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kumar, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My name is Kumar Sieunarine known in the entertainment world as MrNiceVibes. I’m from Trinidad and Tobago, an island located in the Caribean. I am a muscian, singer, entertainer, song writer.

I was born and raised in a musical family. My dad and uncles performing at events every weekend. At home i would always hear my dad practicing. Naturally i found myself drawn to instruments, my first music class was at age 10, began performing at events from then on. It was at age 18 i decided to make music my career. From then on I’ve been pursuing this path which took me to places like Spain, Germany, London, Holland, Canada, North America, Suriname, Guyana.

In 2020 i was able to secure a record label deal with Bentley Records, Ceo being Lucadayz.

Special thanks to my dad for grooming me and i will never trade this craft for any other. Music is life.

I live by music, i hear it in everything. Some, not all of my songs are based on my life experiences, making it easy to compose.

I think that by just being me sets me apart from everyone, as we are all unique beings.

The journey has been one of ups and downs, but from a kid daddy taught me that when life is good be thankful and when its tough, look for what its trying to teach you. I’ve lived by this principle all my life. I love to read, knowledge is power.

Always love yourself, you cant love anyother being without loving yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My country has lots of beaches, firstly Maracas beach. Lots of “fun in the sun” as they say. Other iconic places here is the pitch lake, the legendary San Fernando hill. Two of our local most seeked food by tourists are “doubles” and “bake and shark”
Our country is known for the best carnival in the world, it takes place in febuary. Thats a must if you want to party.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is a few persons. Firstly my immediate family and uncles, then there is one of my mentor Mr Steve Sharma, the Ramnarine family (dilenadan). Also big shout out to Lucadayz. The Power of Positive Thinking is a book that has helped me enormously along my journey.
