We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyra Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyra, what do you want your legacy to be?
Since being a little girl I knew I had something to impact on others lives. Not having a very good childhood, my mother and my little sister has being the biggest inspiration to me. We grew up to be taught that nothing everything is giving to you that you want without a fight. It’s taught to breathe through times of challenges. To be grateful for the little wins and hold close the big ones. I want people to remember me as a driven individual that hasn’t been given it all but will make sure I get it all. I have a lot to do in this life time. I want people to be infectious with my energy I have. This life is hard but so worth everything we go through to make it great.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a professional dancer/ choreographer. Just been given a huge opportunity in LA and as an Australian girl I am chasing my dream to be the greatest. I’ve been signed with a huge agency in LA (Bloc) this wasn’t expected in my last trip but everything in this life time happens for a reason and my reason to traveling to the states in my last trip, the dream came true

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I LOVE to go for beach walks along Santa Monica and I’m a big socialiser. Hanging with friends and going to nice dinners/ bars around Hollywood and Venice are my favourite. Dancing the night away with my friends are what I live for

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my friends and family as I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without them. Especially my mum and sister. They are what I owe everything too. I’ve being able to me the purest version of myself because of them
