Hi LaQuita, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name Is Laquita Moore and I’m 41yrs old. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY. I was only child of 4 in the foster care system for 7 years due to my mother being a drug addict. She’s been clean and sober for 25 years. I struggled as a kid/teen with anger and Abandonment Issues. I believe that those struggles made me the strong independent woman i Am today. Today I’m a Strong woman with my own Small Business. I don’t have any kids or a Criminal Record (which is a Blessing). I just want to be successful and great in Life. I beat Alot of odds in my life that most people would’nt have with my upbringing.

What should our readers know about your business?
My Business is Quitas Quisines. I am a Pop-up Restaurant/ catering business in Louisville, Ky. I provide dishes/caterings with “A TASTE OF LOVE IN EVERY BITE”. I grew up very poor, so providing the community/ underprivileged people with amazing food makes my heart smile. What challenges me at times is keeping a solid/reliable team. I just keeping fighting through it and take it one day at a time. I believe my personality has gotten me where I am today. I’m the kind of person that NEVER MEETS A STRANGER. I will help Anyone, because I know how it feels to need help, and I believe that’s what sets me Apart from Everyone else.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since Louisville, Ky Is Known for the Kentucky Derby, I would definitely take them to the Kentucky Derby Museum At Churchill Downs. We Would also do the Bourbon Trail. It’s Really fun, exciting, and informative. This trail allows visitors & tourists to go to multiple Bourbon distilleries where they would be educated about the history and making of different bourbons. They would also be able to see the process and taste different varieties of each bourbon. 4th Street Live is also a Place I would take them. It’s a very well-lit strip in the heart of downtown Louisvlle with different adventures, bars, and entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Shoutout Goes Out to My Foster Parents (Daisy Anderson, God rest her Soul) and Rosemary Price for guiding me and allowing me to be a Part of their World when they Didn’t Have to. Also my Loving Mother Kimberly Moore for always teaching us to keep our head held high no matter the Circumstance.
