We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Neubauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance??? That is something that is not even real. I beleive that’s where people struggle as they continue to search for something that doesn’t exist.

I have chosen the life of an entrepreneur so that I can work when I want, as much as I want and have the freedom to do what I want.

When building my companies, my goal has always been to elminate a work day of the week each year as my business grows. After about 6 years, my companies are self sustaining without me contributing to the daily operations of the business, giving me freedom in my life!

With this process I do not acknowlege the quest of finding work life balance in my life, but more so I have mastered a self-designed lifestyle.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Throughout my business career, I have always observed not what my competitors were doing but more so what they where not doing to serve the client. Then I began to build my businesses around what they were NOT doing rather than compete with the same similar services.

In 2018, I became CEO and co-founder with Dr Theresa Ashby of Kaleidoscope Media Services, Where we followed the VC investments and realized that the eLearning industry was going to explode. As scalability experts, we knew the eLearniing industry would change the way business is done.
We wanted to position ourselves to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, coaches and consultants. We then began a full service agency.

Today, there are other course creators who will teach you how to build a online course. But rather than competing with the course educators we have created a full service agency . Our agency, will develop and produce your online courses and trainings, plus, show you how to use the online course for scalability and sustainability.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
TACOS! TACOS! TACOS!

So Cal has some of the best international cuisines. But there’s something about Southern California mexican cuisine that can’t be matched. I would take them on a taco tour throughout the week, visiting the beaches, taco stands and roof top hot spots with tapas and tacos.

We might even take a break from tacos one day and stop by to say hello to Mickey! (Disneyland trip)

We even have a taco theme that runs through our company culture. — “If you want to TACO ’bout it we are here!”

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I cannot contribute my success to one single person, because my success comes from a collective of relationships who have afforded me a variety of opportunities.

I would work hard and someone would honor my efforts by sharing other oppotunities for upleveling my carrer. Each time I had one of these opportunities I would meet someone who would pay it forward and share another opportunity with me.

That is why for me, I seek young entrepreneurs who maynot see or beleive in the opportunities available to them and I now can share, teach and mentor them.
