Meet Lauren Grasso | Psychic Medium, Self- Development Coach & Energy Healer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Grasso and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent is work on myself. Everything we grew up believing about ourselves, good or bad, will be projected onto our children unless we actively make the choice to correct what doesn’t feel right within us. Reparenting our inner child allows us to parent from a neutral place: seeing our child for exactly who they are, not who or what we “want” them to be.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey of spiritual awakening and ascension didn’t come easily for me. (Spiritual ascension or awakening is a process where we shed our older self-centered patterns and pursuits that serve our ego, to progress towards elevating our conscious awareness. It is sort of a ‘system update’, but one where we are discarding our older selves and raising our vibrational frequency to step into a higher timeline.)
In fact, was actually really uncomfortable. There are many emotional and physical changes happening in your body during this transformation for anyone but for me, the key was that I had to heal a lot of emotional pain I carried throughout my life. I found the more I healed these buried wounds the more my consciousness expanded and my gifts developed. Even though I had them with me all along they were hiding in my own fears and self-doubt. This journey, the journey of self-awakening (and therefore spiritual awakening) is all about coming back to yourself. It requires taking a trip back through your original mess, your pain, your broken pieces in order to get to the other side.
One of the hardest parts of being a psychic medium is admitting first to yourself and then to others. We live in a world that is so controlled by fear (the fear of feeling emotions, being different, being vulnerable, of being uncomfortable) and then being judged for it all. While we’ve seen massive shifts and expansion surrounding spirituality, psychics and mediums still are met with apprehension and doubt. Overcoming the fear of being judged or doubted was the most challenging experience. However, pushing through all of that was the most rewarding experience, by far.
Being a psychic medium is one of the best gifts in the world: the ability to honor and help others heal and embrace growth within themselves. It’s something that doesn’t really fit into a box and you can’t put a price on it.
What you might find that separates me from other people with similar gifts is that each session I have is completely tailored to the unique individual I am working with. No two sessions or exercises are the same. I meet my clients where they are at in their lives and it break things down for them and with them specifically.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The most rewarding and important aspect of living in LA to me is experiencing all the different cultures we’re surrounded with.
I live close to Larchmont so starting with a Sunday morning Farmer’s Market is first on my list, followed by brunch at Soulmate West Hollywood to devour their croquettes and show my guest their amazing espresso martini using my families’ liquor Mario’s Hard Espresso. In the afternoon we’d hop to Bumsan in K-Town for the most delicious Korean ice-cream then go home and relax in my backyard and grill.
Throughout the week we’d visit some of my favorite restaurants: Open Sesame, Petty Cash, and Saffy’s or grab fresh ingredients from Marukai in Little Tokyo to make our own sushi. Disneyland would likely be on the list, a trip to The Broad, and LACMA on Friday night for Jazz!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m so lucky to have such a beautiful support system around me. Everyone has their own unique place in my life and while I’m beyond grateful for all the mentors, teachers, and others walking beside me, I’m the most grateful for my partner, JJ. Without his support, patience, and openness I’m not sure I would be the person I am today.
